Chapter 24 - Part 28

Long ago the imp type demon's final attack had pierced through the devil's chest, and created a large explosion. The devil was finally defeated, and his body dropped to the ground with his skin melting.

The flames surrounding Maestro started to die down. Maestro's transformation was now visible. His horns were now fiery red at the ends. Burning red pupils formed within his pitch black eyes. His tail was also fiery red at the tip as well. Most importantly, wings made of pure flames emerged from his back. He stares at Rex seriously as Rex himself smiles intensely. He then compliments Maestro's about his new look, but he still addressed him as Makeshift. Maestro told him that Makeshift is dead, and that wasn't his name anymore. Because of him Makeshift died, and now it was up to Maestro to carry on their life differently.

Rex begun to laugh at that statement. He then responded that the reason he died was because of his ridiculous addiction. Rex stood firm behind his words. He states that he would do it again if he has to. Which it seems like he does. Maestro denied his statement, clarifying that he was done with both Rex, and the devil. He was no longer a pawn to the devil, and he had no intentions of facing Rex again. Hearing this intrigued Rex, but he didn't believe him. Telling him that if he really felt that way he wouldn't have come back. Rex starts making chaos blades on each hand. He stares with a menacing smile while telling Makeshift that there's no saving him.

Hearing his former name once again, Maestro had felt angry once again. He dashed towards Rex while generating fire blades for both hands. No longer just short blades, but the same size as the chaos demon. A little bit of joy rushed through Rex as he was eager to run towards Maestro. The two clashed their blades, and flames of fire along with chaos rose up from the clash. Afterwards the two started a barrage of swings. A series of clashes, bright reddish orange clashing with dark crimson red. One slash after another. The two clashed one final time causing flames of fire, and chaos to rise from underneath the two. They shot upwards into the fiery sky, leaving behind powerful trails of fire, and chaos. They clashed once again midair which destroyed their blades on contact.

The recoil from the attack pushed the two away in opposite directions. They both caught themselves midair, each one using a different method. Maestro used his wings to stabilize himself, and he then flew forwards. Rex however, had formed small amounts of chaos energy in both hands. Creating miniature explosions to propel himself towards Maestro. The two flew at each other at high speeds. Their determination was incapable of wavering. Rex laughs hysterically from his amusement as he covers his left hand with a large amount of chaos energy. Maestro was screaming in anger while generating a large amount of hellfire from his right hand. The two clashed their attacks in the middle of the ring of fire. A massive vibrant explosion had formed from the combination of their attacks.

As they fall downwards, they trail behind flames, and chaos energy. They both landed on top of the skeletal figure. Specifically around the rib cage area. With no hesitation, and no interruptions, the two rush at each other again immediately after landing. They charge up similar attacks, but on their opposite hands this time. They jumped up, both screaming, and both swinging at full force. Another powerful explosion was created. The explosion was smaller in size, but just as vibrant. A shockwave rippled from the transition, of the explosion fading into a dust cloud. The two appeared, exiting the dust cloud at full speed. Both staring at each other with polar opposite expressions. Maestro who is filled with anger looks at Rex as he smiles confidently.

Then suddenly, they vanished. Moving so fast that if anyone was watching, they would have a hard time keeping up with their movements. All that could be seen was blurs, and shockwaves from the impact of their attacks. Maestro then decided to start imbuing his attacks with hellfire. Seeing this, Rex decides to do the same with his chaos energy. They continued their exchanges of blows except this time the impacts from their hits didn't just produce a shockwave. Small explosions in the shapes of a four point star formed from each impact. Multiple miniature explosions went off as the two go blow for blow against each other. Eventually, they came to a stop. Rex landed on the foot of the skeletal figure. The right foot to be exact. Maestro landed on the left one.

The two stare at each other with determination. Although, their expressions were still opposite of each other. The same dynamic as before. Rex starts to laugh as he tells Makeshift that he's doing better. Way better than last time, and that he finds his improvement satisfying. Maestro then demanded Rex to stop calling him that. To address him properly as Maestro. Rex laughed once again in response. He then asked for the punishment for not complying. After all, he saw him as nothing other. Rex told him that no matter what, he would always be the same little Makeshift that died for nothing. The rush of adrenaline came back ever so quickly to Maestro. Hearing Rex simply speak was enough to make Maestro angry enough to keep fighting. Rex saw fire start to emerge from Maestro. He gets ready himself as the fight it about to continue. Flames of hellfire, and chaos rise from the two. They both dashed towards each other throwing right hooks at full force. Another vibrant explosion went off from the impact. As the dust cloud forms, Maestro was first to be seen flying out of the smoke. Seeing his face it was revealed that he was unconscious. Rex appears shortly after, chasing after him. Maestro woke up mid air, and immediately his pupils widened in fear. Rex was right above him holding a menacing smile as he gets ready to attack again.
