Long ago seeing the attack made direct contact with the imp demon made the devil assume that victory was ensured. However to his surprise, his flames warped around the imp demon turning into chaos energy thus making the attack much stronger.
Anger surged through Maestro seeing the wall of flames. The ring of fire is the last place he wants to be. He angrily yells at Sylvester, asking him if he tricked him into bringing him here. Sylvester denied this claim, then responded that he had nothing to do with it. He's been simply following Maestro this whole time. Anxiety start to form within Maestro. Staring at the ring of fire, he knows what awaits inside. He looks at Sylvester, then asked if he knew where they were going this whole time. He chuckled then answered that he didn't know where they were going, but he knew where they weren't going. He just simply decided not to say anything about it.
Maestro wants to yell at Sylvester, but he's scared to make to much noise. Especially since they're close to the fire wall. He looks at him angrily then takes a deep breath. Sylvester suggested that maybe it was his subconscious bringing him here. Comparing it to a fated situation. Maestro responded that his subconscious was held hostage by the devil. Even so, Maestro wouldn't let that stop him from controlling his own actions. He turns around firmly stating that they're leaving. However, to Maestro's surprise, he was stopped by Sylvester, as he holds his arm. Maestro was confused, and told him to let go. Sylvester stood silent. He didn't budge, and he didn't respond. Maestro repeated to Sylvester to let go of him. However, Sylvester apologized stating that he couldn't do that. Confusing Maestro even more, Sylvester then runs off while still holding Maestro.
The two were heading straight for the ring of fire. Maestro started to panic, begging Sylvester to stop. Maestro couldn't get out of his tight grip. Wondering if Sylvester had always been this strong. Sylvester states that Maestro couldn't run away from this problem. He had to face it head on. Telling him that if he eats all of the devil bones he'll be strong enough to defeat his two greatest obstacles. Maestro heard the excitement in Sylvester's voice. He yells at him asking why he cared so much about that. Sylvester responded that he didn't know. Maybe this was his way of helping him, or maybe he's just interested in seeing Maestro accomplish something that he himself couldn't. Either way he didn't have a direct answer for Maestro which left him puzzled. Not only that, fear, anxiety, and caution all surged through Maestro as they get closer to the flaming wall. After bracing himself for impact, the two entered the ring of fire.
The heat from the flames was way more intense than that of the fire golem. Although, Maestro was still unscathed by the flames. Sylvester however, was drastically being affected. Maestro saw Sylvester's body was burning away. Melting into his signature green smoke before burning into ashes. Maestro yelled out to turn around, that he would die if went any further. Sylvester looked at himself then noticed that Maestro was perfectly fine. He chuckled then acknowledged Maestro. Stating that he truly was special. He then yanked Maestro in front of him then used his last bit of strength to push him forwards. Afterwards Maestro had turned around, his skin starts smoking. His body was now being effected by the high temperatures since he was standing still within the flames. Despite feeling this he didn't care.
The two were currently looking at each other as they stand within the wall of flames. Maestro looks at Sylvester with sadness in his eyes. Sylvester despite what's happening to him, still kept his smile. He yells out to Maestro that he better win this time. Also stating that he might not get a third chance. Tears start to form, and quickly evaporate from Maestro's face. He stood there, and watched Sylvester as his body dispersed into green smoke before fully burning away. Even the ashes were set ablaze. Maestro turned around finally walking out of the ring of fire with Sylvester's death on his mind.
Now that he was out of the flaming wall, his tears could officially form. Although they evaporated as soon they touched the ground. Sylvester wasn't the best demon to be around, but even then he still didn't want this to happen. Maestro was conflicted with his feelings about Sylvester stating he wished he understood him more. As he thinks to himself, grieving over the lost of his friend, he hears a voice in the distance. A familiar voice, that had made a statement regarding Maestro's tears. Stating that whatever was coming out of Maestro's eyes was disgusting, and should be purged. Maestro looked up, and his eyes widened in shock.
It was the chaos demon once again as he jumps from the top of the devil bones. After landing, he looks at Maestro with a menacing smile. Maestro was terrified seeing Rex in person after all these years. He had no intentions on confronting the chaos demon. Maestro stood still, frozen due to being overwhelmed by emotions. Rex noticed how Maestro was trembling, and chuckled. He then asked if he enjoyed his life as a human. Also asking how the air is on earth. Maestro didn't answer, due to his heavy breathing he couldn't respond.
Rex then pointed out that he seemed tensed, and didn't look prepared to fight. Maestro knew what fighting the chaos demon would result in, and he didn't want that. Rex was correct, he did not want to be there at all. Upset by all the things that had happened in the short time span. Rex then yelled out that the idiot of a demon had died for nothing since Maestro still lacked the strength to defend himself. Referring to him as Makeshift as he yells his name, asking for confirmation on his statement. A sharp pain rose as he heard his former name. The final drop that would cause the cup of Maestro's emotions to spill. He finally felt the one emotion that demons know best.
ANGER!
Normally Maestro would've received a headache, but he was too furious to fall to the pain. He screamed loudly, as loud as he can as flames emerged from around him, and completely covered his body. Rex smiled in excitement. He was amused by Maestro's transformation.
