Time passed imperceptibly. The scenery outside the window was either wilderness or dense mountain forests; after looking at it for a while, it became tedious.
Occasionally, they could see flocks of unknown birds flying across the sky, each bird's silhouette much larger than that of an ordinary bird.
However, the flock of birds did not attack the convoy. Instead, they flew off into the distance.
The convoy stopped once more, and Wesley, who was half-asleep, opened his eyes.
"Second Uncle, why did we stop?"
Rubbing his eyes, Wesley also let out a yawn.
It couldn't be helped; riding in a car for a long time made it easy to become drowsy.
"Young Master, you're awake!"
William turned back with a smile.
"Young Master, we should be at the third checkpoint. They must be conducting an inspection up ahead."
Hearing William's response, Wesley didn't pay much attention, instead scanning the inside of the car.
