Renji shouted at the top of his lungs, but as he shouted, he suddenly smelled the air around him.
It was then that he observed where he was.
He was lying in the ground from within a dark cell.
The only light source was the flickering of torches that was in the hallways and it did not even touch near his cell!
Renji by now knew that he was being held captive.
And from what he could remember before he passed out was that, he was now imprisoned within the underground dungeon of the viscount's mansion and the more pressing matter is that, the viscount himself will be reporting what had happened to the duke!
And clearly, the viscount would pin all the blame unto himself!
He needed to get out now!
"But how do I get out?!"
He looked at the metal bars in front of him.
And then his bandaged body.
He couldn't even get up without wincing in pain.
And now..

*Creeaaakkk!!

As he was contemplating how to escape and the state his body was in, Renji heard the sound of something being unlock, followed by the sounf of a huge door creaking open, and then the sound of footsteps.
