His eyes widened at the sight before him, which was completely different from the elegant and extravagant interior upstairs.
Instead, in front of him was a large hall where several cars were parked.
Each one was a different model of car from different brands, from Audis to Mercedes to Rolls-Royce and Maserati.
He gazed in amazement as he tried to process how many types of cars there were before him.
However, there was one specific brand among these that caught his attention immediately.
"Is that a Pagani? The Huayra?" He pointed out excitedly when his eyes landed on the Pagani car, which was located right in the center of the large hall.
Elle turned to look at him and nodded. "Yes, Mr. Oliver. Although the Ashford group has the 'Electra Car Brand,' which produces high-end eco-friendly electric vehicles, your grandfather also owns many luxury cars. He likes collecting cars very much."
"Wow, I never thought that I would get to see the Pagani up close like this. It's one of the few supercars that I've always admired."
Oliver then walked toward the Pagani with Elle and inspected it thoroughly from its front and sides.
Once he circled around it and admired it, he approached the driver's door and opened it before sitting on the black leather seat inside.
Then he held the steering wheel and pretended to be driving, imagining himself taking a road trip across the country and traveling on the open highways with his beautiful girlfriend sitting next to him.
His hand tightened around the wheel as he stared intently ahead and started thinking about how fun it would be to drive a car like this and experience the thrill that came with it.
But before long, his fantasy disappeared when he remembered he was still a high school student and that he had no license.
Oliver chuckled inwardly to himself.
'If only I knew how to drive, then I could've enjoyed a wild ride right about now.'
When Oliver turned and looked at Elle again, he noticed her standing patiently next to him. She gave him a beautiful smile that lit up her face and made her look even more gorgeous.
"Shall we get going then, Mr. Oliver?"
He smiled back at Elle, "Yes. Let's go."
After saying that, Oliver opened the driver's door and hopped back into the passenger seat, letting her drive since he still couldn't drive a car even if he wanted to.
Elle climbed into the Pagani Huayra and sat in the driver's seat.
She placed her hands on the steering wheel and started the engine, which roared loudly and echoed throughout the large hall.
Then she released the handbrake and put the car into gear, and the sports car began moving forward with ease.
It was as if a beast had awakened and was now ready to pounce forward at any second.
In no time, Elle accelerated and steered the Huayra out of the hall. She drove skillfully through the wide driveway that led out of the mansion grounds before reaching the gates where several guards were posted.
When she drove past the gates, she stepped on the pedal, and the supercar responded beautifully and picked up speed.
The Pagani Huayra raced ahead at such high speed that Oliver felt excited as the scenery around him began blurring out and appeared as streaks of color.
"This is amazing!" Oliver screamed with joy at the sensation of riding in a Pagani.
Elle smiled upon hearing his exclamation as she continued speeding along the road that ran alongside the forest surrounding the Ashford mansion.
"You know, Mr. Oliver, if you would like, I can teach you how to drive. It won't take very long for you to get the hang of it once you understand the basics. And as for the license, I can easily make it happen within a day," she offered as she kept her eyes fixed on the road ahead.
Oliver's smile widened in response to Elle's words, "Well, of course, I want to. Do you even need to ask?"
"Great. Then we'll start your training this afternoon when we get back from headquarters. Is that alright with you, Mr. Oliver?"
He nodded eagerly. "I'm fine with that, Elle."
With that decided, Elle drove along the smooth roads while enjoying the company of the handsome teenager she was responsible to protect.
Everywhere the Pagani Huayra went, it would catch the attention of others as it passed.
A few vehicles that were driving in front of the supercar would move over to let it pass by.
Seeing the reactions of other people to the car, Oliver felt even more thrilled, enjoying the sense of superiority that came with driving such a rare sports car.
Soon enough, Elle arrived at Ashford Group headquarters. She parked the Huayra in front of the main building, where several other employees were walking around carrying folders in their hands.
When Oliver saw the imposing and elegant building, his expression changed into one of apprehension as he slowly got out of the sports car.
However, when he remembered what his secretary had told him earlier, his expression changed into a calm and confident one.
Elle, who got out of the car as well, noticed Oliver's shift in demeanor and smiled secretly to herself. 'It seems like Mr. Oliver is getting into character already.'
"This is Ashford Group headquarters, the place where all the businesses in the conglomerate come together. You will be spending most of your time here once you fully inherit the company from your grandfather," she explained in a soft voice as they approached the automatic doors.
Oliver nodded silently as he entered the building with her and gazed around at the surroundings while letting her guide him.
He found himself walking along the marble floor, which shone brightly under the fluorescent lights embedded in the ceiling.
The air around him was filled with the soft conversations and clicking heels of men and women dressed in formal attire who were either chatting amongst themselves or rushing about carrying documents.
