"I believe there is still hope, and I strongly advise you to start on this medication before considering surgery. I guarantee a 60% success rate if you use this medication." Eliot said with a small smile, looking at the patient in front of him.
"Okay doctor, I'll take your advice." The woman said with a smile and stood up, about to leave after receiving a nod from Eliot.
A knock came in and the door opened, revealing a woman who stood behind it as she peaked through it.
Eliot's eyes slightly widened as he noticed the person by the door. His smile then dropped then he tried to compose himself.
The patient smiled at the person by the door before leaving.
Eliot looked at his table and took a file, completely ignoring the person who appeared shocked.
"Eliot." A soft call pierced his heart, causing him to stop dead in his tracks.
Shutting his eyes, he exhaled before turned to the young lady .
"What brings you here, Miss Lietzel? Or is it Mrs-"
"E-Eliot. I- I am not married," she said softly.
"Oh, Miss Lietzel it is!" He said, averting his gaze; her captivating blue eyes beckoned him to approach her, and her parted red lips appeared to have more to say.
She forced a smile and spoke before taking a step forward.
"Why are you acting so cold? I thought you'd be happy to see me." She said with a smile.
"I had no idea you were the one here when they-" she continued to be cut short.
"I am obviously not in the mood, if you will excuse me. I have something much more important to do." He cut in before getting on his feet and began walking towards the door
Her smile slowly dropped.
"Eliot..." she called out, holding his hand and preventing him from leaving.
His hand felt cold, and his face was expressionless.
"I thought you would be as happy to see me as I am, but you appear to be in a hurry to leave..." Didn't you miss me like I did? A-and don't you feel anything for me right now?" She enquired quietly.
He stared at her hand holding his, then slowly peeled it off.
He turned to her and said.
"You still have the fortitude to ask me that, huh? But do not worry. I will provide you with an answer. No. Neither my feelings nor my absence from you are felt. My feelings died the moment you broke your promise and left me. I do not want to even hate you because it would be a waste of my energy. So it's best you leave and never show your face again." With those words, he left
She stumbled and held the desk for balance.
She opened her mouth so she could breath as she held her aching head.
When she felt a familiar sensation, she quickly opened her bag and took out some medications and water from the dispenser.
She quickly gulped it down and exhaled with relief as she continued to close her eyes.
Her mind then drifted off to what she occured.
"I understand your pain, Eliot and I'm really sorry. I too didn't expect things to come out that way.." she said before standing up.
"I do not even think I'm worthy of your forgiveness but that's all I need right now." She muttered before composing her self and going out of the office.

Ariane sat in her chair, staring at the bulky files in front of her.
She had expected to be orientated on her first day of work, instead...this?
Just then, she received a call from the office land line.
With creased brows, she slowly picked it up to hear the deep voice.
"Come to my office." With that, the call ended.
Ariane was a bit taken aback but she quickly got on her feet and ran into the office Infront of her.
With a knock, she got in.
"S-sir?" She voiced out, trying to make her presence known as she saw him read a document.
"Where's my coffee miss Niles?" He inquired without raising his head, while she became perplexed.
"Pardon?" He paused what he was doing to look at her.
"My morning coffee...or do you intend to starve your boss?" Have you forgotten that it is your responsibility, not mine, to remind me to eat?" He asked as he stared at her with a plain face.
"M-my j-job?" She asked to see him still staring at her.
"S-sorry sir." She said and lowered her head.
She then looked around to see a coffee machine just some meters away from his desk.
She was about to walk to it when he spoke.
"Do not use that. It's too loud. It makes my head ache." He said plainly as he continued reading the documents.
Her eyebrows furrowed even further.
She has never heard of a coffee machine being to loud and causing aches?
She sighed and turned to leave when he stopped her again.
"And it should be precisely 144°F. No dropping nor increasing. You may leave." He added before he continued with his work.
She was taken aback again but she composed her self and walked out of the office.
She stood out, feeling so confused.
'he could have told me all these earlier. Now where do I get this when I'm only new here?'she said inwardly with a sigh .
She then ran towards the elevator.
