While Damon went to get breakfast for Jessica, she decided to give Delilah a call and give her the news.
Although she would have preferred to do so in person, she was much too excited to wait.
Delilah, who was lying in bed while Hunter was busy on the phone with some shareholders, received the call on the first ring.
"I suppose you heard about the news from Damon," Delilah said, assuming Jessica was calling because of it.
"Well, yeah. But that's not why I'm calling. But maybe we can talk about that before we talk about the reason I called. Are you really going to adopt the kid?" Jessica asked curiously.
"Yeah. I'd love to. Obviously the orphanage home doesn't have what it takes to care for him. He ran away from there the other day, and he barely opens up to Mrs Jenkins or the other caretakers there. He requires personalized care and attention and they can't give that to him there…"
