Delilah was standing by the window watching as the ladies drove off, when Madam Quinn returned to the living room.
Delilah turned to look at her when she heard her walk in. "They've left," Delilah said.
Madam Quinn nodded. "And how did it go?"
Delilah shrugged. "I told them I forgave them. But I also told them they'd have to bear the consequences. I can't ask Hunter to forgive them."
Madam Quinn smiled. "Good. You handled it right. You don't need to worry about anything else. I wish you handled Chloe the same way. She shouldn't have gone scotfree after hitting Hunter and accusing him of something so disgusting."
Delilah sighed softly, "You must have so been disappointed."
Madam Quinn nodded, "I was. But that decision saved you. What do you think would have happened had Claudia had a grudge against you? She wouldn't have called you when she did, and no one would have figured out where you were or that you were in danger until it was too late."
