The sky was bright and clear as Jessica stepped out of the cab. She held a lunch pack in one hand and wore a long trench coat that danced lightly in the breeze. Her heels clicked on the hospital floor as she walked into the main building.
She looked stunning.
Her makeup was light but perfect, and her lips were painted a soft red. Her coat was tied neatly at the waist, and she walked with quiet confidence.
She didn't mind that she was going to run into Kate or anything. The truth was that she didn't care and even if she saw Kate she was going to greet her as she would an acquaintance.
Damon was the only reason she was there.
When she got to Damon's office, Patrick, his assistant, looked up from his desk and stood at once.
Jessica smiled politely. "Hello, Mr Patrick. Is Damon in?" She asked, not bothering to refer to him as Mr Williams this time.
