"The Four Great Sanctuaries require that any changes to elder-level positions in the Seventh Sanctuary must be confirmed by us before taking effect."
Qiu Tu nodded slightly. Princess Xi's expression was already starting to darken.
Shen Yuzhou seemed not to notice Princess Xi's reaction. He continued, "Additionally, to prevent another coup or major incident like the Partridge Platform Incident from happening in the Seventh Sanctuary."
"Each of our Four Great Sanctuaries will set up a small office in the capital of the eight states, to facilitate the transmission of intelligence and rapid support."
At this, Shen Yuzhou paused. "Of course, these 8 offices, including the staff within, will not be subject to Seventh Sanctuary law."
"Extraterritorial jurisdiction?" Qiu Tu lowered his head, sipping tea, and asked emotionlessly.
Shen Yuzhou nodded, replying with a simple, "Yes."
