Kalix Noah's POV
Kassandra and I were staring at the restored village inside this beautiful island. She raises her palm. A strong barrier surrounds the whole island.
"Tomorrow is the day that we will face our greatest enemy, hon," she mumbles. I turned her around and cupped her face.
"That's why you have to promise me something, Kassandra. I know you better than myself. I know that you have a weird instinct to save people's lives, but place it not in exchange for your life. Can you do that?" I remarked.
She nods. "I won't. Now that I saw how promising our future together is, I won't give that up. I know everyone will work hard to achieve our desire for peace. That's why... you don't have to worry about me, okay? I promise," she whispered, doing that cutie-patootie expression.
My wife knew how to use her expressions. She was an expert when it comes to what emotions she needs to show. I grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her closer.
