Chapter 298 Adventuring Stories
After some discussion, the party made a plan to leave when the sun was at its highest point. Until then, everyone had spare time for themselves. Aleshia stepped away from the group and walked over to the children who were handing out plates. She asked them for a couple of plates to take to Daniel and Rebel, as she had noticed they hadn't come into the kitchen. The kids helping were happy to oblige and handed her two plates.
With the plates in hand, Aleshia left the kitchen and walked to the office. Upon entering, she said, "I've brought some food. I hope you enjoy it." After looking around for a place to set down the plates, she found an empty surface where she could place them.
Daniel and Rebel thanked her and began stretching in their chairs. Daniel then moved his chair closer to the food and helped Rebel limp over to the chair he had just moved. Aleshia soon realized a problem and dragged the chair that Rebel had been using to where the food was.
The two sat comfortably in their chairs and began enjoying the meal. "Oh my, this is really good!" Rebel exclaimed, cupping her face in delight after tasting the meat.
"I agree! This food is fantastic. The spices and sauce from the other day pair quite nicely," Daniel said, savoring each bite to enjoy the flavors.
"Thank you for those kind words! Please enjoy the meal and relax; there's no need to rush. Since I have the time, why don't I keep you both company?" Aleshia offered.
"That's very kind of you," Rebel replied. "Sure, why not? Let's enjoy our time together."
As the two ate, Aleshia shared stories about her adventures from the quests. "Brian bravely fought off the wolves while arrows rained down around the battlefield. He struck a wolf, causing it to collapse, just as an arrow whizzed by, striking another wolf that was about to attack Brian from behind. Cecelia had pierced it just in time. Stella was like a tornado; she threw one wolf after another aside, bashing them away with her sword. One unfortunate wolf found itself flung directly onto another wolf that Liam's blowdart had poisoned. With a sickening crunch, the force brought both of them tumbling to the ground. After that, Stella bludgeoned them together."
After sharing the stories of the party's exploits, she began to tell about the contributions she had made. After hearing these tales, Rebel clapped and said, "You are quite the storyteller! You made it feel like it was happening right before my eyes." She complimented her.
