Chapter 263 - Normal Day

Chapter 263 Normal Day

Rebel was surprised to see an identical copy of the circle appear on the board in front of her. "How are you doing that? I know I've been out for a while, but have I been out long enough for this type of thing to become commonplace?"

Lucia felt pride in her work and squirmed at the praise. Aleshia swiftly addressed Rebel's misunderstanding. "No, this device isn't common. It was Lucia who made these fairly recently. I'm not sure how long you were unconscious, so I don't feel qualified to comment on that," Aleshia explained.

"Oh," Rebel sighed, disappointment evident in her voice, but her spirits lifted the next moment. "So, this is how you are educating the kids. You must be well-educated yourself, which is really valuable for them. Thank you for teaching them."

With those words, silence filled the room until the children arrived, who brought a lively energy with them. Rebel kept a watchful eye on both the kids and the lesson unfolding on the board. Some of the younger children cast curious glances at her, unsure of who she was. However, the older kids, recognizing her from previous encounters or stories they had heard, stepped in to introduce Rebel to the others. After the introductions, the children's curiosity was satisfied.

Aleshia taught Rebel the previous material while assigning new assignments to the children who were already familiar with the subjects. Even though Rebel was new to these topics and had never studied them before, she quickly grasped the concepts and was catching up with the rest of the class.

A few hours later, a bell tolled, signaling the end. Most of the kids left the room, while some stayed behind to take notes. Rebel asked Aleshia about various topics and commented that the new stylus was a bit confusing to use. However, she was getting the hang of it.

Some of the kids returned with bread and nuts and handed them out to those who had stayed behind before going back to what Aleshia assumed was the kitchen. Aleshia and Rebel each received some of the food as a courtesy, and they both thanked the thoughtful kids.

After thanking the kids, the two began munching on hard bread and berries, and they chatted together. Their conversation drifted to the paperwork that Rebel had been filing for Daniel. "From what I've read, he's been tackling tasks similar to those of a guild receptionist, but for the Alliance rather than an adventurers' guild. The papers discuss things ranging from work orders to payments, and other things possibly relating to management." Rebel relayed.
