Chapter 240 - Guild Harvesters

Chapter 240 Guild Harvesters

After passing through two doors, they arrived at a storehouse filled with various monster materials, all neatly organized on racks and in chests. Aleshia noticed another guild worker picking up a chest and walking away with it. When they reached an unoccupied table, Linda encouraged Aleshia to lay out her spoils.

Aleshia set all the monster materials on the table, including the goblin's crystal and ear. Once everything was on the table, Linda's expression grew serious. She excused herself, saying, "Another guild member will be with you shortly. They will help harvest the materials if you don't mind. You can decline the offer, but it's best to go with guild harvesters rather than seeking out independent harvesters. Guild harvesters can ensure a level of quality and cost-effectiveness. That's just a tidbit of information." With that, Linda quickly left the storehouse.

When Linda left, Aleshia turned to Daniel. After a moment of silence, she asked, "For future reference, could I get your opinion on what she just said? Is it better to go with guild-appointed harvesters or independent harvesters?"

Daniel considered the matter and replied, "It's typically better to use adventurer guild harvesters rather than harvesting companies. The guild screens out most inexperienced harvesters for their storehouses, ensuring quality work. Moreover, guild harvesters are skilled in harvesting a wide variety of monsters. In comparison, independent harvesters may specialize in specific types of monsters, where they might outperform guild harvesters. However, it is usually best to choose the guild for overall reliability."

I recommend requesting the guild to handle your monster harvesting. If you have a very rare monster and the guild is unable to handle it, consider reaching out to another guild or an independent harvesting company that comes recommended by the guild.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention: some adventurers learn to harvest themselves, which allows them to avoid the harvesting fees charged by the guild and independent companies. You can certainly learn it, but keep in mind that it doesn't always mean you'll be perfect at the start, so it's something to consider."

"Alright, I believe I'm starting to understand. If I need harvesting work, I should first go to the guild. If the guild can't harvest what I need, then I can ask for another guild that can. If that doesn't work out, I can reach out to a specialized harvesting company. And if I'm really in a bind, I can learn to harvest monsters myself." Aleshia explained.
