"Still no location in sight… we don't even know if she survived wherever he sent her. It wasn't somewhere we could trace off signals alone…" Valeria muttered, eyes locked on the shifting star maps. Holo-screens glowed across the room, data streams running like rivers of light, but none of them offered clarity.
Noriko leaned against the console, arms folded. "What about the Nova Corps? They guard half the galaxy. Do they really have nothing?"
"Nothing substantial," Aiden answered grimly. His eyes were shadowed by thought. "Oblivion isn't a name they know. No myths. No records. Just silence."
Carol crossed her arms, pacing. "It's the same with Kree archives. Even Kamar-Taj had nothing. Whatever Oblivion is—it's beyond even their reach. I found scraps about Knull. Whispers of a Celestial war. But Oblivion himself? Nothing."
A silence settled in. The kind of silence that wasn't just lack of sound, but a weight, like space itself holding its breath.
"This is why we need Galacta," Aiden said finally, his voice low but firm. "Her insight could cut through this."
Valeria's fingers flew across her console, eyes widening. "Wait—hold on. I've found something!"
Aiden was at her side in an instant. The holograms shifted, a vast signature flickering into focus.
"This wasn't Galacta…" Tony said slowly, reading the streams. His face was pale, but his tone was sharper. "But it's close. Similar energy. Old. Ancient."
Valeria's voice trembled with awe. "We think it might be…"
"Galactus." Aiden's voice cut in, heavy with realization. His gaze hardened. "The Devourer. He was alive before this universe was born. If anyone knows Oblivion… it's him."
The room fell into stunned silence.
"Give me the coordinates," Aiden said finally, stepping back. "I'm going to have a very long conversation with him."
Valeria's fingers danced, then stopped. A set of runes and stellar coordinates flared into being. She turned, leaned in, and pressed a quick kiss to his cheek. Her voice softened. "Here they are. Good luck, Aiden."
In the blink of an eye, light wrapped around him—then he was gone, vanished into the void, leaving only the fading hum of power behind.
....
The stars bent around Galactus like servants of gravity itself, the Devourer seated upon his throne of celestial metal. His eyes burned with the pale fire of dying suns—yet as Aiden appeared before him, his presence dimmed even that.
Aiden smiled easily, almost casually. "Yo, big guy."
Galactus tilted his head, studying him. His voice was a resonance that rattled the very atoms of the void."You… Human god. No… not anymore. You've ascended. You are a Primordial now. What is it you seek of me? I have obeyed our pact. I have stayed away from populated worlds."
"Yeah, I know," Aiden replied, arms folded as if he were speaking to an old friend rather than the Devourer of Worlds. "Been keeping tabs on you."
For the first time in eons, there was unease in Galactus' eyes. "Then… my daughter. Tell me of her. Do you still hold her hostage?"
Aiden blinked. "Hostage? No. She was with me because she chose to be. I never kept her."
Galactus' expression hardened, a rare thing—an emotion piercing his cosmic mask. "…She lied to me again?"
"I think she did, old man," Aiden said with a faint smirk, though his tone carried sympathy. "And now… I can't even find her anymore."
Galactus closed his eyes, and for a moment the universe seemed to hush. Stars flickered as though they, too, awaited his verdict. Then he spoke, low and solemn:"…I can. She lives, but far away. Beyond galaxies most will never name."
"Good. You'll give me those coordinates later," Aiden said. His gaze sharpened. "But I'm here for something else."
Galactus' eyes opened. "What is it?"
Aiden's voice carried the weight of doom itself. "What do you know of the entity called Oblivion?"
At that name, the Devourer froze. His vast form stiffened, his pupils dilated like dying stars. The very fabric of the throne-room trembled.
"Why… do you know that name?" Galactus' tone was not anger—it was fear.
Aiden stepped forward, power radiating from him in silver arcs. "Better question: why do you know that name? Tell me everything. This isn't about secrets, Galactus—this is multiversal survival. Knull is planning to unleash him."
Galactus rose from his throne, shadows of galaxies spilling off his form. "That is madness! Oblivion… is not meant for this age. He rises only when the Multiverse ends, and vanishes when it begins anew. To release him now would…" His voice faltered. Realization struck. "…No. If he awakens prematurely, his will would be unbound. He could erase existence—not just worlds, not just realms, but everything. Forever."
"That's the plan," Aiden said darkly. "And I need to stop him. But I don't know how. I don't even know how Knull plans to unleash him. That's why I came to you."
Galactus' immense frame seemed to weigh heavier with thought. At last, he spoke, each word etched with dread."I do not know the ritual… but I know who might. The Beyonders. They existed outside the Multiverse, gods of the void. They sought dominion over all creation once, and warred with the Celestials. Though they lost and withdrew beyond reality's edge, some… never forgave their defeat. Some still hunger for our cosmos."
"The Beyonders…" Aiden repeated, eyes narrowing. "Where do I find them?"
Galactus' voice dropped lower, as though even the void might be listening. "You do not. They find you. But… there is a place. The Gate of Nothingness. Forged when Celestials and Beyonders bargained for the war's end. It stands abandoned, forgotten by nearly all—but it could serve as a path to them still."
"And if I walk through?" Aiden pressed.
Galactus' stare cut through him. "Then prepare yourself. The weakest among them wield power akin to my own. The strongest… rival the Living Tribunal. If Oblivion is truly their knowledge to command, then you are walking into the maw of gods most fear to even name."
Aiden's smile returned, sharp and unyielding. "Good. Sounds like my kind of crowd."
