"Well…nothing," Valeria admitted, rubbing her temples in frustration. "It's not impossible in theory, but I can't calculate it without knowing the exact size of the universe. And I can't know the exact size of the universe if I don't know…well, how big the universe actually is."

Aiden leaned back, exhaling. "Ugh. Can't we just…expand our reach somehow? Push further?"

"Impossible," Valeria said flatly. "We can't map what we can't observe. Even if we could, the universe is expanding faster than any method we have to track it. It's like trying to measure a shadow that keeps running away."

Gwen tilted her head. "Okay, but you're one hundred percent sure that Eternity is at the center of the universe, right?"

"That's what the prophecy says," Aiden replied with certainty.

Gwen frowned, crossing her arms. "Maybe. But logically? The center of the universe shouldn't even exist the way we think it does. If there was a center, it would probably just be some vast, empty void. Nothing more than dead space."

She paused, gathering her thoughts, and Aiden caught the spark in her eyes—she wasn't finished.

"So what are you suggesting?" he asked.

"That the 'center of the universe' isn't meant to be literal," Gwen said firmly. "It's symbolic. Maybe it isn't a location in space at all. It could be another time. Another plane. Another Earth, even. We know there are countless Earths out there…so which one was first? Which one is the root?"

Her words lingered in the air like a puzzle finally falling into place. Aiden's gaze sharpened. She was right. Why would Eternity be bound to the center of this universe, when there were endless others? Why would the core of all reality be pinned to a single dot on a single map?

It wasn't about distance. It wasn't about stars or galaxies.

It was about essence.

While the others watched, Aiden closed his eyes, sinking into the hum of existence itself. He wasn't searching for coordinates anymore. He was searching for the foundations. The pulse beneath creation.

The Center of Time. The Center of Space. The Center of Reality. The Center of Soul. The Center of Power. The Center of Mind.

Not the center of a universe. The center of what is.

And in that instant—he vanished. The room rippled, reality itself trembling at his departure.

"Aiden?" Valeria gasped, standing as if reaching for him would pull him back.

But Gwen only smiled, a knowing glint in her eyes. "Wherever he is…he's found it. The center of it all."

...

Aiden opened his eyes and found himself standing in a space of endless white—an infinite canvas that seemed to stretch beyond thought itself. Yet above him was a sky unlike any he had ever seen: flawless blue, scattered with perfect white clouds that moved as though guided by a heartbeat. It was the most serene, beautiful sky imaginable.

But even that paled before the being seated before him.

Eternity.

The figure was vast, cosmic, a humanoid silhouette that contained the entire universe within its form. Its body was a tapestry of stars, galaxies, nebulae and black holes drifting in constant motion, its outline shimmering with unending energy. Where a face should have been was instead a living cosmos—planets wheeling through orbit, comets streaking across, constellations shifting with every breath. The sheer presence of it made Aiden feel smaller than dust before a storm.

"Are… you Eternity?" Aiden asked, his voice steady but hushed in reverence.

"Indeed," the being's voice echoed, deep and layered, as if spoken by countless galaxies at once. "I am Eternity. You are the inheritor of Perpetua… wielder of a dark heart and a strong will… a progenitor of your race."

Eternity's cosmic eyes narrowed, or rather, the galaxies within its gaze seemed to align on him."What does this progenitor seek of all that is?"

"To save it," Aiden answered, unflinching. "I seek to save you. And Infinity."

"What makes you think you can save us?" Eternity replied, voice rolling like thunder across endless skies.

"There is a cosmic being in my universe—Knull," Aiden said, his tone hardening. "He seeks to unleash Oblivion upon existence. If he succeeds… we all perish. You, Infinity… everything."

But Eternity's voice rumbled, calm and unshaken. "That does not answer the question. What makes you think you can save us?"

Aiden clenched his fists. The truth struck him then, sharp and clear. He couldn't lie—not here, not to this being."I don't know," he admitted, his voice dropping low but steady. "All I know is that I will. I'll do whatever it takes to save myself, my family, my world. And to do that—I need you. You and Infinity. Without you… Oblivion wins."

For a moment, Eternity was silent, the stars in its body flickering as if in judgment. Then the voice came, vast and unyielding."You lack conviction. You lack confidence. You lack pride. To wield my power is to carry the weight of all that is upon your back. And you… are not yet ready."

The words cut deeper than any blade. Aiden felt his chest tighten. This was his hope—and it was slipping away.

"The mistake you made," Eternity continued, "was coming to me before you had done all you could to prevent Oblivion's rise."

"I don't even know how Knull plans to unleash it," Aiden growled. "I don't know where he is!"

"Then find him," Eternity thundered. "And defeat him."

"Damn it…" Aiden snarled, his composure cracking for the first time. "Then at least tell me this—how can I find Infinity?"

The cosmic figure's voice grew distant, almost sorrowful. "I cannot. For Infinity is always there, yet never is. To find Infinity… you must first find yourself."

Eternity raised a hand the size of a galaxy, and the white space around Aiden trembled."Now… leave my realm."

Before Aiden could utter another word, reality ripped apart—and he was back in the room, sitting where he had been before, breathless.

"AIDEN!" Gwen gasped, leaping to his side. "Well? Did you find it?"

Aiden slowly nodded. His eyes were heavy, but his voice was calm, sharp."I found it. And I found… Eternity."

"And?" Gwen pressed, eyes wide.

He exhaled slowly, the weight of the encounter still crushing his chest."We're on our own."

.....

Meanwhile… far beyond mortal sight, in a place where light bent into itself and time no longer flowed, Knull sat upon a throne of glass and burning light. The chair pulsed faintly as if alive, each shard reflecting not his shadow, but the endless void that birthed him.

Before him stood a man—human in form, impossibly perfect. His face was flawless, his features carved like marble, untouched by age or imperfection. But his presence betrayed the truth: this was no mortal. Power radiated from him in waves that bent reality, a divinity wrapped in human skin.

The man tilted his head slightly, voice smooth, like silk masking steel."So… you seek to unleash Oblivion?"

Knull's lips curved into the faintest smile, his black eyes gleaming with ancient hunger."Yes."

The Man leaned back in his chair, lips curling into a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "Fascinating. The one who once battled us to the death… now comes begging. Seeking our aid." His laughter echoed, crystalline and cold, like glass fracturing in silence.

Then, with a glimmer of genuine delight, his gaze sharpened."Well…" the Man whispered, every syllable vibrating with power.

"This Beyonder is thrilled by the idea."
