Mira's pov;
He took me to some ware house and booked a room there, I never knew such a place can be found in a warehouse.
It still sounded unbelievable no matter how much I think about it.
" Are you telling me it's not just you but even Max is alive?".
" Yeah,but Max got very hurt and was in coma for a few months".
" You guys are so detestable. Do you know how much we cried for you? Especially Xandra, for the first few months,she always cried herself to sleep.
I couldn't even express my own sadness hoping to be strong for her. If not for finding out she's carrying Nelson's child, she would have drown herself in sadness and probably die from the anxiety.
Even at that, there are still sometimes that she hid herself and cry herself out. She said she felt better after crying and won't think too much so as not to affect the child she's carrying.
I, I always thought of you. There are sometimes I miss you so much I wished it was I who died instead of you. Now you are telling me it was a staged death, fake.
How do you expect me to take that? Smile and hug you and tell you it's ok?". I ranted my heart out while crying myself to stupor.
I felt bad for myself and Xandra and Nelson. His eyes were moist too.
" I'm really sorry. We did that so we could protect you from harm. We thought if we died, you wouldn't be in danger.
But we didn't expect that you guys were in much more danger than we thought. So we wanted to get rid of everything that might harm you.
That's why we couldn't show ourselves to you,we were afraid it would put you in even more danger. So we protected you from the shadows".
I just kept crying, I couldn't stop the tears. It just kept falling. I feel so bad,so awful.
" Stupid reasons, stupid excuses. You didn't do us any favor. You guys were just afraid and went into hiding. You cowards.
Do you know how much you put us through,how heartbroken we were?".
Instead of replying,he hugged me to himself and rocked my back.
" It's okay, it'll be okay. I'm sorry". He kept whispering until I calmed down and I fell asleep in his arms.
Jade's pov;
" What do you think happened? He's taking so long".
" I bet he's already busted. I'm only worried he'll be fried before he can vindicate himself".
" Don't think like that. He was once the shadow slayer of 5 Star underground".
" You know nothing. This has nothing to do with your occupation".
I shook my head. ' I really don't understand how these people's brain work'.
" You don't believe me. Let's make a bet then. I'll bet on it that he's been busted".
" I don't want to bet with you".
" Are you sure? You could win you know". He said with a sly grin.
" You think you can trick me into betting with you? Just you is not enough".
" Boring". He scoffed.
" Why don't you go your way, you are really disturbing me, I'm doing something".
" I wonder what you are doing, pressing keyboard all day long and reading books like you won't get to read tomorrow. Awfully boring".
He said and walked off while I continued with what I was doing
Actually, I was quite worried about him,what if he really got caught. That would not be good for our plan.
It could even ruin our plan completely and we would be crushed by the enemies. Especially now that we are probably facing two or even more enemies.
