' no way. That can't be, right? I'm just being delusional, right?'.
" You did? The heavens must really wish you to have it". Mira said bringing me out of my reverie.
" Yes yes". He snatched the camera and started looking it over.
" You might want to read the manual first". I said.
" Alright mummy, I'll check it out later".

" Oh,it must be the guests this time,let me check it out". Mira went to answer the door.
The birthday ended on a good note and we all enjoyed ourselves. Nelson had the best birthday ever, I made sure of that. I also got him a teddybear as a gift,he really loved it.
It was late in the evening before the last of the guests left. I plopped down into the cushion and took a deep breath, I felt drained in a good way.
" Where's Nelson?". Mira asked as she sat beside me.
" He slept off so I took him to bed". She nodded.
" Awesome birthday, right?".
" Un, I'm glad it was successful". I breathed.
" Of course why wouldn't it be?".
" Actually, I was scared something would go wrong. I'm relieved".
" Don't think too much, what could possibly go wrong?".
" Well...". Then we heard it. A gunshot from the window side. And we saw glasses shattering. I was scared stiff.
" Nelson,no, Nelson. I must get to him". I panicked as I tried to leave. A person jumped in from the window and pointed a gun at us.
" Finally, I can get this over with. Where's the child, the one your pathetic husband gave birth to?".
I felt bile rise in my mouth. I was more furious than I was scared.
" You don't talk about my husband like, you are the pathetic loser". I yelled.
" Xandra". Mira cautioned.
" What a bitchy mouth you've got". He smirked.
" I'll give you a fast death cause you're Drey's sister. I'm a good colleague, ain't I?". He grinned.
" You're really hopeless". I said. I was scared but I wanted to protect Nelson even more.
The time I spent talking to him, I already moved closer to where the emergency lock is, and I pushed the button,so we are all locked in there but Nelson will be locked in the comfort of his room,he wouldn't be able to get to him.
" Don't think I don't know. Whatever you plan is useless. You can't play smart with me".
" You really must be more stupid than you think".
" You, I won't talk nonsense with you". I knew I successfully triggered him when cocked the gun.
I closed my eyes, I didn't want to see the bullet flying towards me. I heard the gunshot but,it wasn't me,it was...him.
When I opened my eyes,he was lying lifelessly on the ground in the pool of his blood. I was petrified,the blood,it reminded me of the time,the time,they,
" Alexandria". I heard my name. It sounded so distant. Who was it? I wanted to answer but I couldn't find my voice.
I had a long dream,a very long dream. Max, Nelson and I and my baby,we were living together, happily. We ate together, laughed together. We went to cinemas. We went to the beach and Nelson took beautiful photos of us. We were very happy together.

" Are you okay". He was the first person I saw when I opened my eyes, Alex.
" Why are you here? Where's Nelson, Mira?".
" They are fine. Mira went to get you something to eat,she took Nelson with her. He's fine don't worry".
" I'm fine. How are you here?".
" You don't remember? It's understandable, you fainted. The doctor said you were traumatized. You were out for two days. You should rest".
" Two,two days?". I exclaimed.
" Un, here, have some water".
" You, were you the one?". I asked. Someone had saved me, I wanted to know who.
" What?".
" Who saved me,did you?".
" Well, you could say I saved you. I took care of it don't worry,just rest,ok?".
" Un". The doctor came in, I didn't even noticed he had called the doctor when I woke up.
He checked my temperature and did all sort of weirdo stuff.
" Is she fine,the baby?". Alex asked.
" Yeah, she's fine. I'll put her on medication. Make sure she has a lot of rest,stay with her and make sure she doesn't think about unhappy things,it could trigger her again and it could be dangerous for the foetus".
" Thank you, doctor. I'll make sure of that". Alex replied.
The doctor soon left us to ourselves.
" I'm fine really, you don't have to do that". I replied when he said he wanted to take a leave for both of us.
" I insist. There's no way I'll let you work in that condition. And you heard the doctor, I should keep you company".
" Mira is enough to do that. Don't be so uptight, It's not like you're my boyfriend or anything". I scoffed.
" I'm your friend".
" Mummy, you woke up. I missed you". I had Nelson said from the door.
" Cutie, come here,hug mummy".
" I hugged him really tight as a tear rolled down my eyes.
" Mummy is so happy to see you. I'm glad you're safe".
" Mummy".
" Mummy is so happy Nelson". I hugged him really long. It was like I was afraid he'd disappear if I released him.
" Mummy, don't worry I'm here". I smiled.
