Mira's pov;
We've been standing in the reception for ages. I was so worried I kept praying for his safety.
After what seemed like ages, the doctor finally came out and I rushed to him.
" Doctor, how is he? Will he be okay,is it very severe?".
" Actually ma'am. There was too much internal bleeding and his heart was apparently damaged. He died while been transferred into the OR".
My mind went blank.
" What do you... What are you even saying, I don't understand".
" We lost the patient. Time of death was 15:09".
I couldn't even cry.
' it was all my fault. I'm responsible for his death. I know how dangerous they could be. Drey even lost his life. If only I didn't let him investigate,he would still be alive, teasing me and telling me everything that happens in his workplace. I killed him'.
Tears fell from my eyes silently.
" I want to see him". I said weakly.
The doctor led me to him. He was just about to be transferred into the mortuary. He was covered.
' he really is dead. He's really dead, I killed him'.
I wanted to touch him and talk to him one last time. I wanted to tell him that he's the best undercover. He always wanted me to compliment his work. But, I felt dirty. I couldn't go closer,my legs felt heavy.
" Mira?". Jade said beside me.
" I can't, I'm so sorry, I caused him to be killed,how could I still touch him?". I sobbed.
" It's okay, you didn't cause his death, okay?". He said trying to comfort me.
" You don't know, I let him walk into his grave for my own selfish reason. I'm so horrible". I yelled and ran out of the room. I ran out of the hospital.
I kept on running with no destination in mind as if trying to run away from the nightmare. I ran all the way to nowhere until I ran out of breath and passed out.
When I woke up, I was at home and there was Xandra's worried face in front of me.
" Are you okay. Do you feel pain anywhere?".
I felt guilty for making her worry. I avoided her gaze and looked around the room instead. Nelson was sleeping on the couch. But I couldn't find Jade anywhere
'did he leave already?'. I thought.
" Are you in pain. I'm scared,did you hit your head?". I heard Xandra say again.
I actually forgot to answer her.
" I'm fine. I'm very fine, don't worry". She sighed in relief.
" Thank goodness, I thought you became dumb". I smiled.
But the smile disappear as quickly as it had appear,how could I laugh when Alan just died and I was responsible for it.
" Are you sure you are ok?".
" Un, by the way,how did I get here?".
" Jade brought you. He said you fainted but he didn't say anything else. Are you really fine,did something happen?".
" I...".
" It's okay, you can tell me when you are ready. I made some chicken noodle soup, I'll bring you some". She stood up and left.
" Thank you". I muttered.
I didn't want to talk about it, not right then.

The last time, I was supposed to take care of Max and the others but someone was a step ahead of me. I was curious about who was it that also wants them dead. Moreover,Boss wants me to find them and if possible,form an alliance with them.
I'm well capable to take care of them on my own but Boss command, I can't defy. I wanted to investigate their death but I was met with a dead end and couldn't even find anything so I went with another approach, I started to monitor Xandra herself and her friend, I also wanted to keep the kid on tabs too but I don't know why it seemed impossible to get close to her. Maybe Xandra got a capable man to protect him.
Following Xandra seemed like a useless move, I couldn't even find anything so I focused more on Mira. There was a day that she went to meet a particularly popular special investigator, he's also a great hacker. He could nail criminals even the SIU couldn't track, I admit he's good.
I was surprised that he was acquainted with Mira. I wanted to know why they met so I followed the hacker guy after Mira had met with him.
Damn,that guy is good. I was almost caught trailing him. He's so cautious, typical of a special investigator. It was then I found out that he was investigating an assassination attempt on Xandra. I suspect it was the other person that did that.
That guy is good and he found a lead real soon. But he was unfortunate and got caught by them,they used him to lure Mira. Smart move if you ask me, it's killing two birds with a stone, it's cost effective.
What I didn't expect was that a guy came to rescue them suddenly,the girl must have called him earlier.
I wanted to help the guy but the other was quite skillful, I didn't want to take the risk so I plan to rescue him later. They surely want to torture him and get information out of him so they won't kill him soon. I left as quietly as I had came and went to report to Boss.
" You rescue him and try to get something out of him".
" I plan to do that Boss".
" That's good. I guess it's time to show our hand". He laughed coldly.
