The next few days were busy for Leila.
Winston told Leila he would be leaving Lake City, so he accelerated the lessons. Luckily, Leila had already understood the basics of keeping her wolf side under control. She was no longer shifting involuntarily.
Moreover, she felt a stronger integration between her wolf and human sides. Between her knowledge of witchcraft, Sterling's medical insight and Winston's raw talent, she was in more control than she had ever been.
It could even be said that she was developing her method for stabilising her state. After all, she was not truly a part of a pack. Still, she found that being around other wolves improved her inner wolf's mood and condition.
Unfortunately, all good things had to come to an end.
