Staring at the teenager sitting quietly on the passenger seat from time to time while driving, Elle could not help but feel sorry for him. It was written all over his face that he was lost in a deep thought but there was nothing to talk about. Actually they really needed to have a conversation on what had happened the previous day but she felt helpless because she also needed time to digest the unexpected turn of event. She felt really annoyed but looking at her son, Adrian she could not help but feel like he was the one suffering the most pain. The fact that he suddenly had to leave everything behind including his friends, whose comfort he needed the most right now. I mean it would have been his dad's comfort he needed considering the fact that they were very close but now that his dad was the cause of his devastation, he definitely needed space to be with other close company which was definitely not his mum either because they were never really close. Elle was a medical doctor which implies that she was always busy. She hardly had time for herself because she always volunteered to do charity work after her shift of the day. She never really had any deep conversation with him but she felt it was okay since he had his dad who understands him better. Seeing him sit quietly and waiting for her to say something, she couldn't help but think of how fast time had passed. She knew Adrian was always a precocious child but seeing him trying to act strong like this, it was clear that maturity had set in, which was totally reasonable since he was already 17 turning 18 in a few months time. Just then the thought of the previous day event crossed her mind.
