It was dinner time and the family of three were on the dining table having their meal which they barely ate from. The food was great as always but there was an unusual aura the room was emitting. As soon as they were done eating, the househelp cleared the table and left the dinning since she already knew they always had family discussions after dinner. Scott looked at Elle then Adrian before he started speaking.
Scott: "Adrian, about what I told you, have you made up your mind on who...." Before he could finish, he was cut off by an audible masculine voice.
Adrian: "I'm going with mum", he stated firmly," You must need space to be with that.....damn it! He struggled with his emotions which he had been trying to suppress as he stood up and left without another word.
Hearing the bang of the door from the first floor, Scott could no longer hide his frustration as he ran his hand through his hair, breathing heavily. He really wasn't expecting that at all. He was so close to his son and the thought of them separating really agitated him. He felt really disappointed because he thought that Adrian will be on his side no matter what. At that moment, he was confused on what to do. He loved another woman and he knew that he was being very selfish but at the same time he didn't want to be cheating on his wife. She doesn't deserve that neither does she deserve the divorce but it seemed to be the best option. He had tried his very best to suppress his emotions just to keep the family going but everything became unbearable.
Elle, looking towards the direction of her son just silently stood up and went to his room. She knew he needed space and time but she had to tell him to pack up his things for their departure the next day. She really couldn't stay here any longer.
