Alaric could feel his heartbeat increase. He knew the consequences of having all the elements at First Grade. Let alone the two last ones. If anyone learned that he had four elements, they would maybe try to eliminate him especially since they were all First Grade dangerous ones.
This only meant that he had to be careful. Everyone knew that he only had one element and that was the Lightning element. If he was to use another element, he was probably going to he answerable for how he managed to cheat the elements test.
He knew he was going to have to reveal one of the new elements soon but he decided that the safest element to reveal was the Wind element. He could argue that the reason for the wind element being hidden was because of the effect of the Lightning element where they did not even get the chance to test if he had any other element.
After all, the commotion he caused during his awakening ceremony made it obvious that there was no need to further test him. They were in a hurry. For the Time and Space elements, they were going to be his trump cards that he was never going to use in public.
No matter what the situation was, he had to enforce the image that he only had two elements. They were to know him as a speedster from his elements. After all, Wind and Lightning were known to be speed elements.
If he could combine the two, it was obvious that not many would match his speed. He could not help but sigh. The reason was because to everyone, he was at the Cryptic Plane.
He was at the Sixth Stage at that. But there was a silver lining at that for he was going to be underestimated. He could be said to be in the Master Plane and Supreme Plane but as long as his energy was still in the Cryptic Plane, he was just a beginner.
His energy cultivation was lagging behind and he was sure that it was not going to be that easy to have another breakthrough any time soon. Not that he was looking forward to any breakingthrough in the meantime.
He needed to get used to his strength. He was not even going to try awakening another element. The reason was simple. He had to focus and build his techniques and strength first. As things stood, he only had one technique and that was the Split Mind Technique.
It was a strong technique but he needed attack techniques based on his elements. He needed to first get used to the four elements such that he could summon them at will.
After all, even his senses were unable to touch the Time and Space elements. This showed just how difficult it was going to be to learn to use them. The first two he was going to strengthen publicly and the other two privately.
He was going to use this holiday to consolidate his foundation and also get used to his strength. A hint of determination flashed in his eyes as he focused on the four orbs.
He sighed once again because of Sarah. Had he paid attention before, he would have asked her about the region in his Origin source. He knew it was not as simple as having orbs floating around.
He was also having dangerous thoughts. If Sarah was here again, she would be frustrated by the thoughts. The last time Alaric had these thoughts was back when he was trying to focus on his brain.
Somehow, after that day, he appeared to have forgotten about it and had he not been using the 32 minds to focus, he would have not recalled at all. It was about the chains on Bloodline.
These seals were now 15% loose and he was supposed to leak with immortal energy. After all, during his birth, he was born with powers but they had been locked away. He had to use the mortal way, Cultivation.
He was sure that he had the Martial Plane energy and also the Immortal energy in him. He never tried to probe that energy and he was not going to try doing so now though. He did not know what consequences it was going to have.
When he said that he was not going to have another breakthrough, he really had considered every factor. Including this one. He had to use the immortal energy inside him in the future. His thoughts solidified at that he was going to learn about his powers.
He realized just how the system was trying to lead him away from this line of thoughts. He knew there probably was a reason but he knew that if continued to have fear of the unknown, he was never going to improve.
To get stronger and protect those important to him, he was going to use everything. He could not help but wonder though Would it have made a difference if he had access to the 15% energy leaking from the Bloodline? He shook away the thoughts as he focused on the chains.
With his Soul he attempted probing the chains but he was met with a splitting headache and he gave up on it. He then realized that he had 85%remaining to unseal and he could not help but wonder when it got to that.
The best explanation was after his body was reforged and he had reached the Master Plane. It was impossible for the Blood Essence from Meryl to not have any effect. No matter how much Sarah tried, she was unable to control all of it and some of the energy went and attacked the chains unsealing a 5% resulting to a new 15%.
Alaric realized just how much his body had changed. Some of which he even ignored. The part about the seals especially. It appeared that the system was not flawless as he might have expected it. It was instead trying hinder him subconsciously. Never allowing him to use the immortal energy.
He put the thoughts aside and he recalled about the skills he had acquired. There were two he recalled. Perception and Stealth. He also recalled about things such as Undead Body and Intents.
He recalled Perception. Perception was like an extension of his senses. According to Sarah, he would be able to have a mental visual of what was around him according to the range he could stretch it. It used to be Instinct but had evolved.
This was all because he had awakened his Soul. Perception was different from Divine sense. Divine sense was far away from his reach and more advanced in the first place but perception was different. Divine sense was only accessible to those who reached the Supreme Plane in Energy Cultivation.
Perception was just an extension of his senses. It involved the five senses. His hearing, his sight, his sense of smell, sense of taste and feel. Perception used these five sense. Distance he could have a sense of based on how far he could see, hear, and also sense.
It gave him a clear map of what was around him. He tried releasing it and it was even easier than he expected. Instantly, his mind was filled with the visual of his approximate 500 meter radius.
He could visualize the hallways of the dorms, he could even see the structure of the dorm from above. The only difference was that it did not have the real colour it usually had when he used his eyes.
Everything was pale greyish but he could tell what it was after all. The only place he saw differently was the room he was in. It appeared exactly as it was when he used his eyes. It was then he realized something fun.
The reason the rest was not coloured was because he had not used his eyes yet. It was then it dawned to him. The sixth sense. Proprioception! From the Soul! If he wanted to give life to whatever he was visualizing in his mind, he had to lay eyes on it.
He retracted his Perception for he did not have any use for it at the moment. But he knew that it was going to be useful in his life and even battles. He was about to fully retract it when he found out something even more fun.
His perception had already improved. This was a consequence of his overdependence on the system. The reason he had reached exactly the 500 meter mark was because that was what the system had said. He never tested his limits and decided to test his limit now.
He spread his perception and it extended a kilometer away. Funny though, when he concentrated enough he could magnify whatever was happening in the range of his Perception! He extended it further but he realized that he got less view after he passed the one kilometer radius.
He also realized the reason his Perception was that quick was because of his split minds which were taking in every detail. If he used one mind, he would take almost a whole minute to take in every detail but with the 30 split minds working together, it took less than five seconds to have everything in his mind.
He smiled as he retracted his senses. Perception, It somehow felt different when he used it by himself rather than the system. The system followed the limits of his body to scan but as it used to do it for him, he did not bother to use it for himself.
He retracted his Perception so that it would only be 100 meters around him. Then he moved on to the other skill he had learned. Stealth...
