"I know," William grinned as he patted Benny's shoulder. "Don't worry, it's a good thing for you. But you understand, I have to take some necessary precautions, just in case something happens that none of us want to see."
"I understand, I understand," Benny quickly nodded. "What do you want me to do?"
What he had seen today completely shattered his perception of the world, especially when the White Ghost appeared out of nowhere. Benny knew that if he didn't do as William said, he wouldn't walk out of this textile factory alive. Even if William had him killed, all he would need to do is report that it was Sloan who did it.
"Very good, I like smart people," William said with a grin. After a couple of minutes, Carlos walked in from the shadows, dragging someone behind him. From five or six meters away, he tossed the person in front of Benny.
"Lawrence?" Benny asked uncertainly as he saw the person lying on the ground. "What are you doing here?"
"Your assistant not only betrayed you, but a few days ago, he sold information about Clyde Shelton to two assassins."
William walked over and stomped on Lawrence's head. "And Clyde Shelton was killed by the assassins who got the tip-off a little over an hour ago."
"Am I right, Mr. Lawrence?" William said, and while speaking, he angrily stomped a few more times, as if he and Clyde Shelton had been close friends.
Afterward, he smiled and turned to Benny. "How does your C1A deal with traitors?"
Benny silently watched Lawrence, whose head was bleeding, his hands and feet bound tightly. Ignoring Lawrence's pleas, Benny sighed in resignation, pulled out his gun from under his arm, and shot Lawrence in the head.
Putting the gun away, Benny stared blankly at his colleague and friend of over ten years, then nodded solemnly at William. "This is my answer, not C1A's."
"Very good, Benny," William said, and after hearing Sunday report that the footage had been recorded, William grinned as he patted Benny's shoulder. "You go first. In half an hour, bring in your team to clean up. And by the way, you might want to start preparing to move. Hopefully, your wife and kids will like New York."
"Huh?" Benny looked at William in surprise. When William nodded, Benny's calm expression faltered for a moment before quickly returning to his usual demeanor. He extended his hand to William and said, "Thank you."
"No need to thank me," William shook Benny's hand and smiled. "You know, even though Benjamin Arthur appreciates you, he can't directly interfere in your internal affairs. So, the position of deputy director in New York might not be too high, but managing South America as well shouldn't be a problem."
"I understand, Devonshire," Benny replied without surprise or anger. Whether he stayed in New York or no longer managed South America, Benny didn't mind at all.
"By the way, I heard that Ray Monroe, that fat guy, is going to be your boss. If you want to go further, start making trouble for me. Maybe that fat bastard, who dared blow up my commercial building, will appreciate you," William said with a smile.
"Is that true?" Benny was momentarily stunned, then quickly realized this wasn't his concern. "No problem, Mr. Devonshire. I'll say a few things to discredit you in the report, but I hope it won't affect your work."
"Don't worry, Kingsman only answers to England's First Minister and King Philip. No one else can interfere with me."
"Answer to?" Benny asked in surprise.
"Buddy, you have to understand, the person standing in front of you is a super-rich man. Otherwise, I wouldn't have taken over Kingsman," William chuckled. "As long as it doesn't harm England's interests, I can do whatever I want. Whether I report it to the First Minister and Philip afterward depends on my mood. Like right now, with Clyde Shelton, whom I personally chose, accidentally dead, I'm in a bad mood. So, everything that's been happening lately is your doing. It has nothing to do with me. Is that clear?"
"Of course," Benny agreed immediately, though a bit bothered. But compared to the potential benefits, this small hassle was nothing. Only an idiot would refuse. "You will appear mainly in the investigation regarding Amir Bakhavi. The rest is C1A's business."
"Good. Very good, Benny. I'm starting to like you more and more," William said with a laugh, then turned to Sunday. "Sunday, send Benny the action reports for the past few days."
"Understood, SIR. Report sent."
No more than a few seconds later, Benny's phone received the email. He was about to check it when he heard William's pointed words. "The password for the email is the birthdays of your three kids and the last two digits of their student IDs. Got it?"
A flash of anger and fear crossed Benny's eyes, but he hesitated for only a moment before replying, "No, of course not. Thank you, Mr. Devonshire."
"Oh, and by the way, after you open the email, you'll have thirty seconds before it self-destructs, so you better have a camera ready to take a picture of the data."
"I understand."
"Then I won't disturb you while you assign tasks to your men. Half an hour from now, this will be your territory."
Benny understood that William was dismissing him. Smiling, he nodded. "If there's anything I've done wrong, we can talk privately."
"Don't worry. As long as you don't accuse me of betraying England, you can say whatever you want," William extended his hand to Benny. "Good luck, Deputy Director Benny."
"Thank you." Benny shook William's hand and then left the textile factory.
"Do you really trust these C1A people?" The White Ghost, who had been standing silently behind William, mocked.
"Buddy, who in this world have you ever trusted?" William asked without turning his head.
"How could I? In my line of work, if you trust others, you're as good as dead," the White Ghost said, looking at William's back as if he were an idiot.
"You think just because you're all muscles, only knowing how to slash, slash, and slash, I don't understand that?" William turned to face the White Ghost, who was grinding his teeth in anger. "As long as I don't affect his future or his family's safety, it's just mutual exploitation. If that bald idiot hadn't resigned from the New York Director position, I wouldn't need to waste so much effort."
"So, how are you planning to get Benny into the position of Deputy Director of New York?"
"Ha, New York's position is vacant, Benny's proven himself, and in his upcoming report, he'll discredit me. Plus, he was sent by Benjamin Arthur. All I have to do is sit back and watch. Ray Monroe, that fat bastard, will handle it for me." William squinted as he watched Benny's retreating figure. "That fat bastard dared blow up my office building. I haven't forgotten about that."
Upon hearing this, the White Ghost shuddered, took a step back, and joked, "Damn, being around you, calculating everyone, gives me the creeps. I'll leave now. Just let me know if you need me."
After the White Ghost left, Cross walked out from the shadows and stood next to William. "What's next?"
