After controlling Sloan, Fox, and Wesley, William said, "Wait a moment, gentlemen and lady," before changing clothes and driving towards the textile factory.
Outside the textile factory, he called on Benny Gard, from C1A, who was leading a twelve-person team to block the bridge leading to the factory, preventing the New York police from causing trouble.
"The credit goes to you, the money to me, how about it?" William asked directly as he drove.
"No problem," Benny agreed after only a few seconds of thought, "But someone higher up wants to see Sloan, that old man, dead."
"Then you can do it yourself," William turned and gave Benny a glance.
"Don't get me wrong, Mr. Devonshire," Benny said, feeling a little tense under William's gaze.
The person driving next to him was a ruthless man who could destroy an organization that had lasted for centuries with a single command. William himself was not only a great noble and one of the wealthiest people in the world, but he also had deep connections with the upper echelons of both England and the USA. Most importantly, he controlled a legal, independent intelligence agency. So Benny did not want to be misunderstood or fall out of favor with William.
"There's someone high up in our department who, after reviewing my report, discovered that a few years ago, his old partner was assassinated by the Assassin Brotherhood. So," Benny shrugged, "You understand."
"I understand, what's so hard to understand?" William sneered, "You want revenge for your partner, but you're afraid of being caught and don't dare to act yourself. It's fine, you can do it."
Hearing William repeat this, Benny fell into deep thought, fully aware that William was trying to get leverage on him. Otherwise, someone with William's status wouldn't bother to repeatedly support him. "Alright," he said, shaking his head in resignation, "It's been seven years since I personally took action, from middle-level command to South American supervisor."
"Just know how to shoot," William smiled, recalling the people Carlos had captured, "Maybe you won't need to act yourself."
"Let's hope so," Benny shrugged. Not killing anyone for seven years didn't mean he would refuse to take action if needed.
As they spoke, the car drove into the textile factory. As they got out, they saw Carlos hiding in the shadows.
Having received the Sunday notification, Carlos certainly wouldn't show himself in front of Benny, the outsider. He placed the documents on the railing of the stairs, then stepped back and disappeared into the darkness where the light couldn't reach.
William walked up, picked up the documents from the railing, and smiled as he entered the factory.
Seeing Wesley, Fox, and Sloan standing still, William greeted, "Good evening, Mr. Sloan," then nodded at the surprised Wesley and the expressionless Fox.
"It's you," as soon as Sloan saw William, he understood why his Brotherhood had been destroyed in such a short time, "I don't understand, Mr. Devonshire, is there some kind of misunderstanding between us?"
"No," William answered as he walked within a few meters of Sloan, "You understand. A few days ago, someone paid you a million dollars to have me killed. When they called you, I was right outside their study."
This made Sloan's heart skip a beat. He thought he had figured out why William was targeting them, then glanced at Benny, who said nothing, and maliciously asked, "So, you're the one behind the disappearance of the Hammer family?"
"Haha, sorry, I didn't do it. I just handed the knife to the elites in Washington who swallowed the Hammer family's wealth," William waved at Wesley and continued, "As for today, you'll have to ask Colonel Benny from C1A. He's the one leading the operation. I'm just here to take Wesley Gibbs with me and thank you all for teaching him for so long."
He then took a DNA test report from his pocket and threw it to Wesley. "Wesley, do you remember the night before you were brought into the Assassin Brotherhood by this Miss Fox?"
Wesley took the test report that William threw at him, his eyes filled with hatred, which quickly turned to confusion. After thinking for a moment, he nodded, "I remember."
"You shouldn't hate me. The people who died today have nothing to do with you. In fact, in a way, these people are your enemies because your father didn't die. His identity is someone you've always wanted to kill."
"What?" Wesley stared at William in shock, then quickly grabbed the test report and looked at it in disbelief. "What does this prove?"
"It proves that you do know who your father is, and you can still contact him. So, to make you believe it's simple: you can personally do a DNA test with the person whom Sloan and Miss Fox accused of being the one who killed your father," William pointed to the shadowy figure of Carlos, who was standing behind them, "He is your father. A man who found Sloan's name on the Loom of Fate and was then hunted."
"How is that possible?"
Not only was Wesley stunned, but even Fox, who had remained expressionless up until now, quickly turned her gaze to Sloan.
Seeing his most secret information exposed in front of everyone, Sloan no longer cared about the spider-like robots. He just wanted to control William and find an opportunity to escape.
He kicked the gun lying on the ground, but just as his hand reached halfway out, an ominous shadow flashed in his eyes. The Mauser military handgun, which had been kicked into the air, was intercepted by William before Sloan could grab it, and a black thread automatically retracted into William's right sleeve.
Holding the modified Mauser pistol, William smiled and lied, "Sorry, I seem to have a few times better vision and reaction speed than ordinary people."
Ignoring the shocked expressions of Wesley and the others, William took out his smart glasses and put them on. He then whispered to the gun in his hand, "Scan."
A beam of light shot from the smart glasses, scanning the Mauser pistol back and forth. Sunday quickly reported that the effective shooting range of this gun could reach 200 meters.
William fondly admired the gun for a moment before tucking it into his waistband and smiling at the ashen-faced Sloan, "Thank you. This is the kind of dream gun I've wanted since I was a child."
"FK, tell me what you just said is true," seeing William's confident attitude, Fox was clearly unhappy. She then turned her gaze to the shadowy cross in the distance, "I need proof."
"Oh, sorry, the proof is right here," William threw the document bag that had been tucked under his left arm. Fox grabbed it and opened it to find more than one document inside.
Shocked, Fox quickly realized these were the files Carlos had stolen from Sloan's safe. She walked over to the table, poured the documents onto it, and after just a few glances, she saw the names of several Assassin Brotherhood members. What shocked her even more was that her own name was also in the files.
She turned and stared at Sloan, "Are these all real?"
