"Interesting!"
The moment the shadow pushed open the window, Qin Lin, lying on the bed, snapped his eyes open. Several thoughts flashed through his mind in an instant. Instead of leaping up to grab the intruder, he decided to feign sleep and remained perfectly still.
I'd like to see what this person is really up to!
"What?"
The intruder approached Qin Lin's bedside. But just as Qin Lin was about to grab her and demand an explanation, she froze. In the pale moonlight, she had just gotten a clear look at his face.
Clutching a dagger, she murmured in surprise, "Damn, he's cunning. He actually found a body double!"
"You're lucky."
She glanced at the sleeping Qin Lin one last time to make sure he hadn't noticed her, then swiftly jumped out the window and vanished.
Once the intruder was gone, Qin Lin sat up in bed. He sniffed the faint, lingering floral scent of a young woman in the air, a puzzled expression on his face.
How strange. She didn't try to kill me.
