"What!?" Kajiki was completely in disbelief.

Hair can entwine Armament Haki?! This was beyond his comprehension; he had never seen anyone do something like this.

Naturally, there was a reason for that. What kind of normal person would use hair as a weapon?!

Or rather, people who have trained Rokushiki to the extent they can freely manipulate their hair for combat are already extremely rare! Even among the devious CP agents, those who can achieve this level are exceedingly few.

This Giorno… he really is dangerous, and truly an incredible pirate! No wonder before the operation began, Vice Admiral Onigumo had been so cautious about this guy and his female captain.

If it hadn't been for the street conflict dragging in Fisher Tiger, the most notoriously wicked criminal in the world...

Shua!

A lock of Liam's hair, gripping a blade, slashed toward the stunned Kajiki.

Kajiki's own sword was entangled by Liam's hair, unable to break free. He was slashed and forced to let go. The black Haki coating Kajiki's sword dissipated rapidly, yet it floated eerily in mid-air.

Liam's long, flowing hair moved like it had a life of its own, once again gathering into something resembling a fist.

Bang!

A single punch from the hair-fist sent Kajiki, who had let go of his sword, flying.

Liam casually turned his hand, and the sword that floated beside him in midair followed his finger's direction. He flicked his hand again.

Whiz!

Kajiki's own sword shot toward him, chasing after his airborne body in a deadly pursuit.

'He didn't really believe it, did he?' Liam thought to himself.

Controlling hair was an application of Life Return. And without B.I.B. acting as Liam's "second heart" and assisting him, it would've been extremely difficult for Liam to overlay Life Return with Armament Haki in combat.

The hair that had just entangled Kajiki's sword had only bound the blade by coincidence while covered in Armament Haki. That portion of the hair had Haki, but without Life Return, it couldn't actually move.

Pū chī!

The sword, now controlled by the Magnet-Magnet Fruit, flew off and stabbed someone in the distance, Liam didn't even look back. He turned his gaze to Robin.

But just his slight movement, especially when his face turned in any direction, caused the crowd to shriek and retreat in panic.

"You're all that scared of me?" Liam laughed as he scanned the surroundings.

The people averted their eyes as if stabbed by his gaze, scrambling to hide.

Many were screaming internally: "Your hair is still gripping eight swords! Do you look like a normal person!? Of course we're scared, damn it!"

Suddenly, a child's exclamation rose from the crowd. Someone looked behind Liam and whispered: "It's that Marine Vice Admiral…"

Onigumo, head bleeding and eyes firm, charged at Liam with speed. Other Marines followed behind him, but most of them looked even more terrified of Liam, this pirate who was scarier than even Vice Admiral Onigumo.

Liam hooked his finger.

Clang!

A female Marine descended from the sky, slashing downward onto a female pirate's head, the black blade landed on her black forehead. The woman's hands, completely unafraid of the sharp blade, gripped it tightly.

The crowd was stunned. Even Gion's eyes were full of disbelief. That had been her strongest slash, but why did it still do nothing to her?

Whoosh...

Wind swept down the long street. Gion landed with her longblade, sweat dripping down her face as she stared at this woman pirate whose physical strength and mastery of Armament Haki both vastly outclassed her own.

The gap… it had truly grown to this level?

"That look in your eyes… It's almost enough to make me feel sorry for you."

Robin smiled slightly. "Losing to someone like me? That's only natural."

In a dimension invisible to Gion, at that moment, Robin's body was clad in a suit of black armor… B.I.B., shaped like a samurai suit of black flame, was draped over her.

Just as Gion had leapt from the rooftop and unleashed that slash, B.I.B., having delivered the Human-Human Fruit: Red Orangutan Form to Arlong for free, had returned in time.

Robin's arms, wrapped in thick Armament Haki, gripped Gion's blade tightly.

Only she knew, just how much suffering Liam had endured over the years for this power, just how many times, after retracting his Stand, she'd feared he might die from the sheer pain of using it.

A mask invisible to the naked eye now covered Robin's face. Her glowing, narrow white pupils merged with her dark green irises, reflecting the pale, drained face of Marine officer Gion, who now looked like the life had been sucked from her.

With his power... I will never fear anyone again.

Robin twisted her arms and took the sword from Gion's weakened grasp.

Huā lā!

On a remote and desolate beach of a resort island, white waves crashed onto the shore. A headless female Marine in pink uniform raised her blade with a backward grip,

And slowly drew it across her own neckless throat.

A ritualistic self-decapitation.

Dī liū liū!

A soda can arced through the air. In the crowd below, a little girl looked up with empty hands, eyes wide and pitiful. She hadn't even opened it yet!

Vice Admiral Onigumo, leading a squad of Marines, charged at the pirate with wild black hair who was standing with his back to them, eight swords gripped in tendrils of black hair.

One of those swords, clutched by a hair-hand, suddenly whipped around with force toward the incoming Marines.

Whiz!

Pū chī!

The blade stabbed deep into Vice Admiral Onigumo's left shoulder, right as he was coming at Liam from behind.

The Marines gasped in shock. As the soda can spun lazily through the air, it landed right into Liam's hand, to the dazed confusion of the crowd.

"This bastard… he didn't even bother to turn around?!" Onigumo growled angrily, yanked the sword, his own sword, from his shoulder, and in a burst of speed leapt at the pirate Giorno.

With blood dripping from his blade, he raised it high and slashed at Giorno's back.

Clang!

Liam still didn't turn around, two of his hair-arms, wielding swords, crossed behind his back and parried Onigumo's strike, sparks flying as three blades collided.

Tss,

Liam's fingers casually traced the top of the soda can. Under the pull of magnetism, the round metal lid popped off entirely, lifted lightly by a hint of magnetic force from his fingertip, and was discarded to the side.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!…

Onigumo slashed furiously from behind, but every single strike was intercepted perfectly by the 7 to 8 swords dancing around Liam's head, all controlled by his hair.

Liam started walking slowly toward Robin, tilting his head back to sip his drink as he went.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!…

His wild black hair danced, parrying strike after strike with mechanical ease.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!…

He walked and drank, and before long, the entire can was empty.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!…

He looked at the little girl in the crowd, who was pouting, clearly on the verge of tears.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!…

Liam gave her a cheeky grin, raised a finger to his lips in a "shhh" gesture, "Sorry, but big bro here… is a pirate, y'know? Ha ha…"

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!…

Onigumo had no choice but to follow behind, furious beyond belief, desperate to cut down this mocking pirate, but no matter what he did, his sword technique couldn't break through the wall of hair-blades.
