Chapter 115 - More History

The national guard was established when the Azure royal family's progenitor, along with two of his old friends, Ashenheim and Nineveh, made a pact to establish the kingdom under the name of the Azure Moon.

They were all equally powerful and deeply respected each other.

In those times, the continent of Gaia was still in a state of disarray, and wars were commonplace. In the region where the Azure Moon Kingdom now stands, numerous powers attempted to form kingdoms, but none possessed the strength to achieve their goals. Those who succeeded were kingdoms significantly smaller than the current Azure Moon Kingdom, which were ultimately defeated by formidable individuals or powerful forces.

The Azure ancestor played a crucial role in the downfall of kingdoms in the northern lands. He refused to allow any kingdom that was not his to be established.

Ashenheim established his own city that endured hardships and wars. He was also exceptionally powerful and possessed a reputation that instilled fear in others.

The lands of Nineveh were exceptionally prosperous, governed by a passionate and merciful leader who possessed deep knowledge of the land. He had a large following of powerful individuals.

The Azure ancestor established his moonlit city and his powerful progeny.

They were all at the pinnacle of the power system in the Azure Moon world, but the former two were aware of the Azure ancestor's exceptional nature. He possessed a blessed land, body, and bloodline.

They formed a friendship through rare encounters that gradually evolved into frequent meetings.

They shared drinks, discussed their ideals, and eventually reached an agreement that led to the establishment of the kingdom.

The Azure ancestor envisioned a kingdom of people who would worship his beloved Azure Moon as he did, not just a small kingdom that could be easily defeated. He desired the entire northern region.

Ashenheim, driven by his unwavering desire to ensure the longevity of his city until he achieved divinity, envisioned its protection as long as the kingdom stood. However, neither the Azure ancestor nor Nineveh were privy to the profound connection between his city and his technique.

Nineveh, passionate about his lands, harbored a deep love for the people in general. He detested the warring times, witnessing pillaging, rape, and violence that contradicted his compassionate nature. Despite the numerous killings he had to make to protect his land from raids and takeover attempts, he often showed mercy, which ultimately proved detrimental.

The rumors surrounding his lands further complicated matters. While he was confident that his land and its people could provide their own protection for millennia, he yearned to assist a broader community.

In exchange for his assistance in establishing the kingdom, Nineveh sought the creation of a national guard—a force controlled by the people. This force would serve as a law enforcement agency of righteousness, its foundation built upon passion, mercy, protection, and prosperity.

With this formidable alliance, they swiftly swept across the north, poised to conquer even more territories. However, they encountered formidable adversaries—powerhouses with resounding names and reputations, including loners who could shake entire regions.

Among them were the Cloud sisters, the Wind of Death, the Walking Sun, the Bringer of the Four Seasons, and the Bandit King. These names still echo through the ages, their domains and powers enduring to this day.

....

Horo now comprehends that Hendrix is the name of the "insect" who insulted his palace.

Undeterred, Horo's animosity towards the Empyrean Sun sect stems from the tragic events that befell his family and sister.

Fortunately, he knew his twin was still alive due to his skill, karmic tie, and Alma's connection to crystal. Otherwise, he probably wouldn't have been able to resist killing this person who was certainly related to Felix.

As the person wearing national guard attire, who had spoken up slightly in Horo's defense, began to introduce himself, he walked straight past Hendrix. A golden holographic force field covered his left side to protect him from the powers of that miniature sun.

Horo guessed that this was the power that all national guards had to master before becoming official guards, [Valor].

When he arrived in front of Horo and the princess, he reached out to Horo and introduced himself, just like the princess had done.

"My name is Ash, and it's a pleasure to meet you, Horo. I must say, I never thought I'd ever see a black cloud, let alone one that was born in the Pure Cloud Palace."

Horo responded by returning the handshake. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Ash. I must say, I'm surprised to see Valor on a man so young."

The three chuckled and engaged in small talk before they led Horo to meet the other people in the hall.
