Chapter 2 - chapter 2

The vampire kingdom's capital was abuzz with activity as nobles from far and wide gathered to witness the historic union between their king and a human princess. Ryker stood tall and mighty, his silver hair gleaming in the light, his chiseled features sharp with high cheekbones and a strong jawline, and his piercing red eyes that seemed to bore into Eliana's very soul. Eliana, on the other hand, hadn't stopped trembling, her green eyes wide with fear and uncertainty.

"Do you take Eliana to be thy other half?" the priest asked, his voice echoing through the grand hall.

Ryker smirked, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "I take her as my other half," he declared, his voice dripping with confidence.

"Then you may kiss your wife," the priest declared, his eyes shining with a hint of excitement.

Ryker pulled Eliana closer, his movements teasing and playful, enjoying the scared little mouse expression on her face. As their lips touched, Eliana's eyes fluttered closed, her heart beating fast like a rabbit's. Ryker felt a jolt of electricity run through his body, a spark of attraction that he couldn't ignore.

He wanted to tease her more, but he felt her heart beating faster and didn't want her to faint from just a kiss, as he could tell it was her first time. He pulled away, looking at her flushed face while smirking, his eyes gleaming with a hint of mischief.

The wedding feast that followed was a lavish affair, with music filling the air and laughter echoing through the halls. For the first time, humans and vampires were dancing and drinking together, rather than fighting and killing each other. Indeed, this union would be a blessing, a symbol of peace and unity between two species that had been at odds for centuries.

"Shall we dance, my dear?" Ryker asked Eliana, his voice low and husky, his eyes gleaming with amusement.

Eliana nodded, still looking a bit dazed, her eyes wide with wonder. "Y-yes, my lord," she stuttered.

Ryker chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "You may call me Ryker, my dear. We are married now, after all," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Eliana smiled, a small, shy smile, her eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief. "Y-yes, Ryker," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

As they danced, Ryker's eyes never left hers, his gaze piercing and intense, like a predator sizing up its prey. Eliana felt like he could see right through her, like he knew all her secrets, but she couldn't deny the thrill that ran through her veins when he touched her, when his hand wrapped around her waist, pulling her close. It was as if their bodies were meant to be together, like two pieces of a puzzle fitting perfectly into place.
