Chapter 4716 - Chapter 4716: Beat the Hell Out of You

Chapter 4716: Beat the Hell Out of You

"Congratulations, Daoist Lin, on attaining the Supreme seat."

Wine Venerable's hearty voice rang out as he offered Lin Moyu sincere congratulations.

Lin was now the ninth Supreme of Chaos Wasteland, his status among the highest.

At this moment, Lin's aura was strange sometimes branded as an enemy the world could not tolerate, sometimes acknowledged as a world recognized Supreme.

The rules of heaven and earth tangled and clashed around him.

News of his new realm would soon spread across all of Chaos Wasteland.

With the Supreme seat as backing, his World Enemy status weakened somewhat; some who met him would no longer lose all reason on sight.

Many would still attack him, of course, as he also bore the identity of Calamity Bearer.

So complicated an existence had never appeared before and likely never would again.

Lin Moyu glanced at Tang Divine Sect.

Its grounds had been half ruined by the recent battle, with casualties beyond counting.

Without Wine Venerable's full protection, Tang Divine Sect would already have been erased.

For beings at the peak, even stray shockwaves were more than they could endure.

"This time, this Lin has brought disaster upon your sect," Lin said. "This Lin owns little and does not know what could suffice as repayment."

"Let's do this instead…"

He thought for a moment, then gathered light in his palm.

Vast Life Power condensed into a mass, then split into ten, then a hundred, becoming a hundred life filled pills.

"These hundred pills are refined by this Lin," he said. "They may not resurrect the dead, but as long as there is a single breath left, no matter how grievous the wounds body or soul they can be restored to their peak."

This was Lin's confidence.

With his current Undying Dao, if he wished to save someone, anyone short of fully dead could be dragged back, and any injury could be healed.

Even a tattered wisp of soul could be made whole again.

He placed the hundred pills into a bottle and handed it to Wine Venerable.

"This is a small token from this Lin," he said. "Daoist Wine need not refuse."

Wine Venerable accepted the bottle.

"Then this one will accept."

Lin continued, "There is reincarnation in the world and destiny for all beings. As for those who died this time, this Lin will not say they were without injustice, but one can at least say they were fated to meet this tribulation."

"This calamity has passed. With Daoist guarding Tang Divine Sect, you should remain unharmed throughout the greater Calamity."

"This Lin will also lay down a grand formation; with it present, the safety of your sect will further increase."

"So long as your disciples do not leave during this Calamity, your peace should be assured."

Wine Venerable easily understood his meaning.

"Rest easy, Daoist Lin. During this Calamity, our sect will shut its gates none in, none out."

Lin began to inscribe runes odd sigils flew from his fingers into the air, merging with the world.

These were all glyphs of his own creation, unusual in form and widely varied in effect.

With his current realm, he no longer cared about outward shapes; only the essence of the rune mattered.

Each symbol matched the world's rules and took pure world force as its root so long as the world endured, the runes would exist.

In an instant, the formation was set.

Over ten thousand runes wove into a great net that enclosed the battered Tang Divine Sect.

Lin passed control of the array to Wine Venerable.

"With this formation here, unless a Supreme makes a move, your sect will remain safe."

Wine Venerable himself was a quasi Supreme, barely weaker than a full one.

With him seated here and the grand array supporting him, Tang Divine Sect would be secure in this round of Calamity so long as it did not court death.

"Many thanks, Daoist Lin," Wine Venerable said loudly.

He knew clearly what had been lost and gained.

Had Lin never come, perhaps the sect would have avoided immediate disaster and its disciples would still live but within the Calamity, annihilation with no survivors would have been likely.

By paying a smaller price now, Tang Divine Sect had purchased its future peace.

Whether the trade was worth it was something only he could judge.

To him, it was absolutely worth it.

Especially the pills he never once doubted Lin's claim about their miraculous effect and believed him completely.

After Lin took his leave, Wine Venerable turned back toward the sect, muttering, "The sect is saved."

Lin Moyu left Tang Divine Sect, riding the Tribulation Ferrying Boat toward the Central Domain God Alliance.

Ever since he stepped into the Supreme realm, many things had changed.

He remained a World Enemy, but also held the title of World Supreme.

These roles swapped back and forth, greatly softening others' hostility toward him.

Anyone whose Dao heart was firm would no longer try to kill him on sight.

Now it was time to go to the Upper Domain and inspect Calamity Supreme's final grand array.

He wanted to see what the ultimate goal of that grand design really was.

Once all those arrays were fully activated, he was very curious what tricks Calamity Supreme intended to pull.

Before, to travel to the Upper Domain, he had to use the God Alliance's teleportation array.

Now, there was no need for such trouble.

As long as he got near the Central Domain God Alliance, he could locate the spatial nexus connecting to the Upper Domain.

Without setting up a special passage, he could simply tear space and walk through.

To a Supreme, the spaces within the world were crystal clear.

With their power, they could easily fold and twist space, moving as though by instant teleportation or forming ad hoc portals.

Thus the speed of a Supreme far outstripped that of Chaos realm beings.

Even teleportation arrays could not match them.

Lin could have abandoned the Tribulation Ferrying Boat entirely, but he was lazy.

He also wanted to use the journey to comb through himself.

Achieving Supreme had not fundamentally transformed his techniques.

They had simply grown stronger in step with his realm.

His Undying Spirit Arms now surpassed Chaos level and approached quasi Supreme might.

Given more than ten thousand of them arranged in battle formation, they could fight a quasi Supreme head on.

He commanded trillions.

What did that mean?

It meant over a hundred million quasi Supreme equivalents.

Across the whole world, how many quasi Supremes even existed?

Even if all the Supremes were added in, together they could not match him.

Even Dao himself, trying to slaughter that many Undying Spirit Arms, would grow anxious.

Put bluntly, if Lin Moyu wished to destroy the world, no one could stop him.

Under such conditions, the fact that the world still treated him as a World Enemy only proved the stupidity of the rules.

They did not even know who they were fighting.

The Undying Spirit Arms were also the primary source of power for Ultimate Undying.

As they grew stronger, that state grew stronger as well.

Already, a full force punch from him had surpassed the Supreme tier and shattered the Chaos Heaven Dragon's avatar.

Now his power had risen further.

He could probably stand toe to toe with monsters like Dao.

Because of this, he had the confidence to trigger the last array.

And after this recent battle, the Calamity's pace had quickened again.

It was nearing its peak.

The world was already in chaos, but what came next would be true chaos.

Bloodshed and slaughter would never cease.

None could truly escape.

The countless corpses he had seen along his way proved it.

Chaos Wasteland had gone mad a grand purge beyond imagination.

The World Calamity was not only the world's own trial, but also a catastrophe for all beings within it.

Lin Moyu did not lack compassion, but he knew this was an inevitable process, a fixed point of fate.

He would not interfere because it would be useless.

After flying for over a month, when the Central Domain God Alliance lay a few days ahead, a green glow slowly appeared.

From within it stepped Supreme Boyang, smiling with narrowed eyes. "Daoist Lin, long time no see."

Lin Moyu put away the Tribulation Ferrying Boat, approached Boyang, and suddenly swung a heavy punch.

"Beat the hell out of you!"
