Chapter 4712 - Chapter 4712: It Really Hurts

Chapter 4712: It Really Hurts

Nine Heavens Fate Art felt wonderful to use.

Beyond perfectly controlling Linguistic God World, it could also forcibly influence the rules of other Chaos Wastelands.

Lin Moyu had done this many times before, each time drawing punishment from world rules.

But so what if he was punished?

He didn't care in the slightest no matter how many punishments came, he simply shattered them with a punch.

He was already the enemy of all worlds, openly opposing heaven and earth; if he still feared punishment, what kind of "enemy of worlds" would that be?

Borrowing the feedback power from Linguistic God World, he stopped suppressing his own cultivation.

Riding the momentum, he activated Nine Heavens Fate Art, forcibly meddling with world rules to open a breakthrough channel for himself.

Once that channel opened, even the rules had to operate "by the book" and could not forcibly close it.

World rules had their own operating principles and could not act arbitrarily.

Lin Moyu understood that very well and was using the rules' rules to force his way through.

This time, the punishment came again, harsher than ever before.

He still did not care.

Dark clouds of punishment gathered overhead and infinite lightning poured down.

The gourd treasure guarding Tang Divine Sect was blasted away instantly, its rainbow glow snuffed out.

Thunderbolts crashed, and the terrifying shockwaves rippled outward, forcing everyone near Tang Divine Sect to retreat.

Wine Venerable's expression changed as he used his quasi Supreme power to shield the sect.

Lin Moyu rose into the air from within the lightning.

He deliberately did not endure punishment inside Tang Divine Sect; if he did, the sect might be gone by the time it ended.

The sight of him filled everyone's eyes with greed, especially Sword Emperor.

His gaze was blood red Lin Moyu was a Dao proving treasure in his eyes.

Sword light flickered and, without a second thought, Sword Emperor charged directly at Lin Moyu.

Wine Venerable did not stop him; he only shook his head.

Boom!

A bolt of thunder slammed down and knocked Sword Emperor back.

Next, endless lightning wrapped in world rules rained onto him.

For a while, he had no time to do anything but scream.

Lin Moyu glanced at him and muttered, "Idiot."

He rarely cursed, but this time he had to Sword Emperor's idiocy deserved it.

How he had cultivated to quasi Supreme in the first place was a mystery, given how completely he'd let the Calamity overtake his mind and how oblivious he was to the current situation.

Right now, Lin Moyu was under punishment from the world itself.

Anyone who approached would be treated as his ally by the rules.

At best, they would be punished together.

At worst, they would be reclassified as enemies of the world as well.

If that was not idiocy, what was?

Sword Emperor was not the only fool; others also rushed in without thinking and died even more miserably, reduced to ash in the lightning.

Lin Moyu ignored him.

The punishment continued, thunder crashing down in a seemingly overwhelming barrage but to him, it felt like a warm spring drizzle, harmless and almost comfortable.

The breakthrough channel was already open.

He vaguely saw a supreme throne before him

The seat of a World Sovereign.

The throne was only a projection given by the world; a World Sovereign was not truly supreme.

Yet for ordinary cultivators, it was the ultimate temptation.

An enemy of all worlds, about to become a World Sovereign recognized by heaven and earth this was inconceivable.

Such a thing completely defied common sense, yet it was happening to Lin Moyu.

Chaos Wasteland had nine World Sovereign seats in total.

Eight were filled, one remained vacant.

Lin Moyu saw everything clearly.

In Calamity Sovereign's plan, that empty seat had always been reserved for him.

He was meant to become a World Sovereign and then wield the Calamity Scepter against Dao.

The likely outcome: Lin Moyu dead, Dao severely wounded again.

At that point, Calamity Sovereign would strike, kill Dao in one blow, become the number one figure in Chaos Wasteland, and, in line with the Calamity, ascend to Supreme.

It was a solid plan unfortunately, too many accidents had intervened.

Calamity Sovereign had never realized that another hidden figure had lurked behind Chaos Wasteland since ancient times.

The struggle had shifted from a duel of two giants to a tripod of three, making him hesitate and forcing a complete overhaul of past plans.

Now Lin Mohan had entered the stage, turning it into a four way contest chaos upon chaos.

The empty seat had remained empty mainly because of Calamity Sovereign's scheme.

Several Sovereigns were involved, all holding it for Lin Moyu.

Whether anyone was still guarding that seat now, Lin Moyu didn't know and didn't care.

If he wanted to sit there, no one could stop him.

Even if Calamity Sovereign had changed his mind, it would be too late.

Lin Moyu's aura soared as he used the rules to pry open his path to advancement.

Tenfold Domains emerged his foundation for attaining Dao.

Though Tenfold Domains violated the rules, those same rules had no choice but to acknowledge them.

With such a foundation, Lin Moyu fully met the qualifications to become a World Sovereign; in that respect, the rules could not deny him and had to recognize him.

World rules began to fall into disorder.

On one hand, Lin Moyu was the enemy of all worlds; on the other, they were forced to accept him.

He smiled. "The more chaotic, the better."

Taking advantage of that chaos, he once more used Nine Heavens Fate Art, ignoring the intensifying punishment and roughly altering the rules.

Within the confusion, he sought what he needed and used his own bloodline as a guide.

"Bloodline Resonance!"

The resonance that had vanished long ago was forcibly reawakened.

As he advanced, part of his power crossed time and space through that resonance and entered Lin Mohan's body.

Lin Mohan had already surpassed World Sovereign, but her realm was still unstable.

Compared to Calamity Sovereign, who had broken through countless years ago, she was still green.

That was why she had stayed hidden and never made a move.

Through Bloodline Resonance, Lin Moyu transmitted some of his refined power to help her stabilize her realm and deepen her foundation.

For him, it was only a small loss so long as his base remained intact, he would recover quickly.

For Lin Mohan, however, what the resonance brought could save her a great deal of time.

Lin Moyu had planned this for a long while, and this moment was the perfect opportunity.

And beyond that, he had something else to do while the rules were in disarray.

His forced meddling in the rules drew even harsher punishment, and he seized the chance to bring out the Chaos Pearl.

"Your turn."

"It hurts, it hurts so much!"

The Chaos Pearl screamed as lightning hammered it, cracks spreading rapidly across its surface.

"Endure it," Lin Moyu said. "No breaking, no rebuilding."

"I'll endure but it really hurts!" the Pearl wailed.

Lin Moyu ignored its cries and left it under the lightning.

Eventually, the Chaos Pearl could no longer hold out; the cracks multiplied until, with a soft snap, it shattered.

He quickly gathered up the broken pieces.

World Burning Fire roared to life around them, refining.

He was not truly melting it down, but burning away its final trace of belonging to Chaos Wasteland.

To the world, the Chaos Pearl was now dead.

To Lin Moyu, it was not dead at all.

Once the fire erased the last mark tying it to Chaos Wasteland, Lin Moyu hurled the Pearl into Linguistic God World.

"Heaven Shattering Earth Rending!"

The Pearl's remaining fragments detonated with a crisp sound.
