Chapter 4711 - Chapter 4711: Then Make It Allow

Chapter 4711: Then Make It Allow

Outside Tang Divine Sect, the surrounding void was covered in formations.

Countless warships and flying boats floated there, packed with cultivators and powerful beings.

Wine Venerable sat cross legged in the air, resting on a gigantic gourd with its mouth facing downward, spilling endless radiance that wrapped Tang Divine Sect in light.

That gourd was a supreme treasure, firmly guarding the sect.

He looked relaxed as he drank, but not far from him floated piles of broken artifacts and scattered chunks of flesh and blood.

He burped. "Anyone else want to try?"

As he spoke, he glanced toward Tang Divine Sect.

A sheet of crimson light seeped out from the sect, illuminating the void and stretching who knew how far, painfully conspicuous.

The current Great Calamity was worsening.

As the enemy of all worlds, Lin Moyu was like a wanted criminal world rules deliberately exposed his whereabouts.

By now, most major forces in the Central Region knew exactly where he was.

Under the influence of those rules, they were like starving wolves smelling meat, surging in from all directions.

Lin Moyu was a piece of fat that could lead to enlightenment, and everyone wanted a bite.

Anyone blocking their path to Dao became an enemy.

They all wanted Lin Moyu's life no room for negotiation.

Tang Divine Sect was ancient and strong, but it could not stand alone against so many powerhouses in the Central Region.

No one, however, had expected Wine Venerable to be there.

He had stepped into quasi Supreme.

The first two waves of disbelieving attackers had already been slaughtered by him without mercy; their corpses and artifacts were still drifting in plain sight.

Their deaths brought some hesitation to the newly arrived experts, but only for a moment.

Under the tide of the Great Calamity, world rules eroded their reason; soon, greed would drown all caution.

Wine Venerable knew the battle was inevitable.

He only wanted to delay things, preferably until Lin Moyu left seclusion.

The trouble wasn't just outside Tang Divine Sect anymore; it had crept inside.

Many people were hunting for Lin Moyu's retreat.

The concealment formations he had laid were almost useless now that world rules openly targeted him.

Even within the sect, plenty couldn't restrain their greed and desired his death.

Still, some with firm Dao hearts remained old ancestors who strictly forbade anyone from seeking Lin Moyu.

Rules, however, are dead; people are alive.

No rule, no matter how harsh, can fully suppress human greed.

To handle this, Wine Venerable cast a spell and brought down a sweet "rain" over the sect.

The rain was potent liquor; everyone below the Chaos Realm fell drunk beneath it.

Those above the Chaos Realm were placed under his control, forbidden to move rashly.

Even so, this was not a long term solution.

Sooner or later, even those old ancestors would crumble under pressure.

And not just them Wine Venerable himself felt the strain.

He knew that one day, he too might lose control and raise a hand against Lin Moyu.

Until then, however, he would stand guard.

Another group finally lost patience and charged forward.

Wine Venerable spat a wave of wine qi; it surged like a tsunami through the void, and the entire group's eyes went blank before their bodies crumbled to dust.

Against a quasi Supreme, Chaos Realm juniors were like ants.

Wine Venerable sighed. "Under a Great Calamity, lives really are like ants utter carnage."

The Calamity's power was not to be underestimated.

It warped hearts and buried reason, driving minor Chaos experts to attack a quasi Supreme without fear.

Just then, a sword light streaked through the distance, crossing billions of kilometers in an instant to stand before Wine Venerable.

Every lifeform in its path shattered on the spot, hacked into pieces.

Nearby beings recoiled, leaving a wide stretch of empty space.

The sword light faded, revealing a black robed man standing on the blade, eyes gleaming with greed as he stared at Tang Divine Sect.

More precisely, he stared at Lin Moyu within.

"Enemy of all worlds, the eye of the Calamity once he dies, this emperor will attain the Dao."

His deep, excited voice grated out of his throat.

Sword light flared again as he ignored everyone, blade angled sharply toward the sect.

"Get back!"

Wine Venerable swept his hand, and the massive gourd beneath him spewed endless radiance.

Rainbow light surged like a storm, turning into countless arrows that blasted the sword light apart and forced the newcomer back.

The black robed man stopped and fixed his gaze on Wine Venerable. "You plan to stop me?"

Wine Venerable said, "Sword Emperor, this isn't where you should be, and Lin is not someone you can kill. Leave now and don't throw your life away."

Sword Emperor laughed coldly, red light in his eyes like sharpened blades.

"You think becoming quasi Supreme lets you bar my way?"

"We can find out," Wine Venerable answered calmly. "But listen well: once Lin wakes, you'll have no chance.

You clawed your way to quasi Supreme over many years; with the Calamity upon us, you should be thinking about how to survive, not chasing fantasies."

Sword Emperor burst into wild laughter. "What does an emperor's resolve have to do with you?

He's the tribulation bearer, the enemy of worlds. Just a mere peak Chaos cultivator slaying him is easy for me.

"In this Calamity, you're only a quasi Supreme yourself. How can you protect him? You tell me to retreat; I say don't doom yourself.

If you refuse to move, I'll cut you down first."

He was about to strike when a massive aura erupted from within Tang Divine Sect.

It surged into the sky, condensing into a dark cloud in the void.

Lightning seethed within, world rules thrashing violently as a furious roar shook the air.

The sound came from the world itself, piercing every soul.

Every living being in the Central Region, no matter where they stood, heard it.

Sword Emperor's eyes narrowed. "Rule fury."

Wine Venerable looked at Tang Divine Sect. "Lin, what did you do this time?"

Even as a quasi Supreme, he couldn't see what Lin Moyu was doing, but he knew it had to defy the very heavens otherwise the world would not react like this.

Lin Moyu had indeed done something, but not by choice.

First, something had happened to him, and he'd simply turned that passivity into action.

After decades of absorption, Linguistic God World had grown many times stronger nearly ten times its original power but still had not transformed.

He sensed it had reached the threshold of a qualitative change; one more seven cycle world might be enough to push it over.

Little Tree had been searching nonstop all these years but had yet to find such a world.

Luck and fate played a role; this could not be forced.

The moment Lin Moyu left Linguistic God World, a vast surge of power erupted from within his body.

The world's rise fed directly back into him, driving his cultivation upward.

He understood his condition very well.

His foundation was far too deep; if he really wanted to advance, he could have done it at any time but had chosen to suppress himself.

Now that he'd become the enemy of worlds, world rules themselves barred his advancement.

So he had simply pressed everything down to the limit and refused to break through.

Now, however, the feedback from Linguistic God World shattered those restraints.

A flash of insight hit him.

Rather than damming the river, it was better to let it flow.

Since the pressure could no longer hold, he would stop holding it back and rise.

As for the world rules not "allowing" it then he would make them allow it.
