"This assembly of gods has now commenced," Omnira said as he motioned his hand for the other gods to sit. The gods obeyed, and they all sat except the supreme gods. "Now I'll ask Astrum to tell us why we are gathered here."
"Thank you, Omnira. We gather here today to discuss our godlings' ascension." "We all know that today marks a thousand years since our last ascension, and I know that our godlings are prepared for this. So I will call upon Superion to call out the names of those who would undergo the training to become gods and goddesses." Astrum stepped back, and a robotic-looking man stepped up on the podium. "I object," someone shouted from the room. Soon after, some other gods and goddesses joined in. "Okay, can someone tell us which godling they want to ascend?" Someone stood and said, "Permission to speak, Omnira?"
"You may Kairos."
"Thank you, Omnira. I think that every godling should be given a chance to go through the ascension training. And if they fail, they would have to wait another thousand years to go through another."
Loud murmurs rose amongst the crowd. "Silence!" Superion barked. "I've heard all that you've said, Kairos. "Does anyone else have something to add to what Kairos said?"
Someone stood up and said, "I second Kairos' statement." "I second that seconding." " I, too."
"Okay," Superion said boldly. "All those in favor of Kairos' decision say I." The loud sound of "I!!!" filled the room. "Okay. Go and return here tonight with the godlings. The elder deities will discuss this. This assembly is adjourned."
The deities started walking out of the room. A few teenagers rushed to their parents. "Hey, Mom, did I get selected?" one of the children asked as she approached her mother. "You would have to wait for tonight, my sweet Ignia." "Can you tell me how the ascension goes?" the godling asked. "Sorry, but I can't tell you." All the gods and their children walked to their quarters.
'Ding, ding. Ding, dong'
"This assembly of gods has recommenced," Omnira said as all the deities settled in their seats. "And I would like to welcome our young godlings to their first assembly with us." "I and the other elder deities have decided to add the godlings to those going through ascension, so I'm going to call Superion to mention their names." Superion took Omnira's position and took the scroll from before. "So these are the godlings who will go through ascension to become gods and goddesses. He opened the scroll and began calling out the names.

The minor jubilations stopped. "You can't do that," a voice shouted from within the crowd. "Who said that?!" Superion said in anger. A girl stood up and everyone and everyone looked at her. "Celestara, why do you think we can't do that?" Superion asked.
"We are gods, and they are inferior to us. We rule them. You can't put us on the same level as them. I don't want to be like them, and I know I'm not the only one."
