"That guy was such a piece of crap!" Alisa exclaimed.
Inengway's class ended around an hour ago so most students were in other classes. The fools were the only ones not in any class during this time.
They were busy working as the janitors of all of the universities. Cleaning the halls, practice rooms, and anything else that they were told to clean. Alisa preferred to use this time to strategize.
Which is what she called complaining...
"He ruined my grand entrance and didn't even let me do a cool introduction! He's just a big, stupid jerk that likes to pick on me because it satisfies his sick urges! You guys get it, right?" The two people that the girl was ranting to were none other than the other two fools.
Nasak Agnoli and Denver Echoes. Alisa's closest friends and underlings, if that makes any sense. Nasak propped himself up on his broom and looked at the girl with tired eyes.
"I told you to stop standing in doorways. If you get in people's way they're obviously gonna kick you down or at least accidently knock you over. You're very short, Alisa. Also where's your broom?" Alisa stared at Nasak with her mouth wide.
"Are you trying to undermine me Nasak?"
"No?"
"Then why are you trying to tell me, your leader, what to do? And my height just makes me more lovable!" Nasak sighed and turned to Denver.
"Can you handle this Den? I'm all tapped out from this nonsense." Denver stopped sweeping some dust under a rug and turned to Nasak.
"She has been set aflame like a forest in the path of flowing lava. I do not wish to be in that lava's path."
...
"You two are so weird. And you still haven't told me where your broom is Alisa!" Nasak shook his head and picked his broom back up. Which, for reference, was clearly the bar of a bench press that had been attached to a push broom in place of a normal broomstick. But for the most part he was quite normal.
"I'm not weird! Nor am I what this dumb school calls a fool. Takes a fool to know a fool after all." Alisa adopted her signature proud stance that she normally does many times a day.
"You do know that if you say that phrase you're implying that they are right because they are what they call you? Right?" Alisa stood in silence for a moment.
"Did you not reali-"
"Semantics! Anyway, I plan to ambush that mom of his later to get back at him so let's finish this quickly." Alisa began to dig under her cloak searching for something. Nasak and Denver's eyes shot wide when they realized what she was looking for.
"Alisa, wait!"
"Don't be be like an irritation to the skin!" Nasak and Alisa stopped and stared at their friend for clarification.
"Rash." They both nodded in understanding.
"That one was good Den! Now watch this!" Alisa pulled a flask from under her cloak. Within it was a strange white, bubbling, liquid. Alisa quickly uncorked the flask and poured the contents onto the ground.
Nasak and Denver immediately jumped onto a nearby table as the liquid moved across the floor. They watched as it sizzled and seemed to gather any dirt it ran across converting it into this thick, brown sludge that grabbed more dirt.
Nasak and Denver watched in wonder.
"Is it really working?" Alisa laughed arrogantly.
"Of course it is, my fellow fools! I am Alisa, the youngest half-elven alchemist to ever grace the sea! I will rise higher than the highest tides and flood the lands with my talents! For I, ALISA, AM THE RISING WAVE OF THE NEW GENERA-"
"Is it meant to sizzle like the puddles leftover from a storm evaporating from the sunlight of a new day?" Alisa scrunched her face.
"What?" She looked down at the sludge. Just as Denver had said it was sizzling something fierce. It was even emitting steam. Alisa frowned.
"That's not supposed to-" Before she could finish the sludge started to expand rapidly. "Crap!" Nasak's eyes shot to Alisa.
"What's happening?" Alisa met the boy's eyes with a panicked expression.
"Hehe~"
"Alis-"
"POP!"
The sludge exploded. Well, it popped like a child's balloon. But there was some good news. None of the dirt came back because it was all sludge now. It's just that the sludge was now the problem and it was everywhere.
Nasak wiped the sludge off of his face. "Please tell me this stuff dissolves on its own." Alisa shook her head dejectedly.
"I used the Ever-Present Glowery. It gets its name from the fact that it seems omni-seasonal due to how it never changes regardless of its location. You wouldn't even be able to tell that its dying until it turns to dust and is taken by the wind. I also found out that it has a secret trait that makes would make it great for cleaning dirt, thus the mess." Nasak released a weary breath.
"Of course. Let's get started then." The two guys started cleaning while Alisa just stood on the side with her head down. Nasak saw this and cleared his throat.
"So, how did you find out about the hidden attribute of the Ever-Present Glowery? Did those eyes of yours get to work again?" Alisa slowly nodded her head. Nasak smiled.
"And you were the one to come up with the recipe this time as well right?"
"I guess..." Alisa kicked some of the sludge near her.
"Wow! That's amazing Alisa!" Light returned to Alisa's eyes as she slowly looked to Nasak.
"R-Really? You think it's cool?"
"Of course, it's cool! You made a potion that can clear out dirt in an instant. With something like that we could clean these dirty cloaks so that we aren't filthy all the time!" At that moment inspiration struck Alisa.
"Oh my goodness. That's it. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE USED ON CLOTHES! GAH, I was so stupid!" Alisa started to speedily get the sludge up. "Hurry up you two! We've still got to go confront that girl and..." Alisa narrowed her eyes and spoked in a grim voice.
"...Him!" Nasak turned to Denver.
"Was he really that much of a bother?" Denver shrugged.
"He was like a mosquito buzzing around you on a scorching day whilst you are eating shirtless."
"What?"
"He was only bothering Alisa because of her own actions." Nasak nodded and the fools continued cleaning the mess that they enhanced.
All the while Alix continued her day without anything on her mind.
Well, besides the thought than Nuka could be in trouble. She was also still trying to come up with a plan to get out of the Martial path. And she still needed more catalysts so that she could prepare more spells. Speaking of spells, why hadn't she been using her spell-script at all recently? No, better question did that Denver boy use something akin to spell script earlier?
...
Okay maybe she had more on her mind than I originally thought but you understand the implication. She wasn't thinking about Alisa and the Fantastical Fools. Well, except Denver.
Whatever, get out of here!
