Chapter 37 - ch 037 The badges were stolen

After answering the host's question, Yi Xuecheng suddenly said, "Today, in front of everyone, I have one more thing I want to share." The host immediately replied with curiosity, " Mr. Yi, do you have some good news to share with us?"

"It's not exactly good news," Yi Xuecheng said. "In fact, it's quite unfortunate. As you all know, our league issued a set of commemorative badges, and as an athlete in the league, I was fortunate enough to receive one. However, I regret to inform you that the badges have recently been stolen."

Yi Xuecheng's words sparked indignation among the fans in the audience. It was appalling that someone had actually stolen items from their idols.

Chu Han, who was sitting in the front row, suddenly looked very upset. Lu Xing also glanced at Chu Han in surprise. After all, Yi Xuecheng's set of badges belonged to Chu Han. Now, with Yi Xuecheng claiming that his set was stolen, the situation felt even more confusing.

That Chu Han...

"Xiao Han, what's going on?" Lu Xing asked quietly.

"I'm not sure," Chu Han replied, frowning as his face paled. Yi Xuecheng's words had felt like a blow to the head, leaving him confused and bewildered. He had believed that the badge was given to him by Sister Yuxin and assumed she used her connections to obtain it for him.

The feeling of having your favourite gift turned into stolen goods is far more painful than discovering a fly in your favourite dessert.

The host asked Yi Xuecheng, "Mr. Yi, do you have any leads on the individuals who stole your badges? Perhaps our netizens can help you brainstorm and find clues."

Yi Xuecheng replied, "I was planning to mail them to a friend, but the courier didn't deliver them, and they were stolen along the way. If anyone has seen the medals, please contact my assistant. I have also reported the case to the police."

The market value of Yi Xuecheng's badge set exceeds 200,000. Stealing an item of this value constitutes a violation of criminal law, and the thief must be held criminally accountable. The fans were immediately excited and expressed their willingness to assist Yi Xuecheng in recovering the stolen commemorative badge. When the event concluded, Yi Xuecheng left the venue under the protection of bodyguards, which prevented fans from having the chance to ask him for autographs.

Although Lu Xing regretted not getting an autograph or taking a photo with his idol, he felt satisfied just to have had the chance to see him up close. Meanwhile, Chu Han stood there in a daze. He should have rushed over to ask for an autograph like Lu Xing, but he didn't have the energy to do so. All he wanted was to return home quickly and talk to Sister Yuxin about the badges.

As Chu Han followed Lu Xing out of the venue, he remained lost in thought. Upon reaching the entrance, he spotted Chu Ci again while trying to hail a taxi. Lu Xing intended to catch up with Chu Ci and take a taxi back to school with her, but before he could reach her, the car she was in drove away.

"This Chu Ci really doesn't give me any chances at all!" Lu Xing muttered.

With a pale face, Chu Han said to Lu Xing, "Senior, I'm going home first."

Lu Xing guessed that Chu Han was worried about the badge and reassured him, "Go home and ask carefully; don't worry." Chu Han nodded and then took a taxi home.

It was still early when he arrived. Meng Yuxin had not returned from school yet, and neither had Chu Ci, who had left earlier than him.

Chu Han found himself anxiously pacing around the door.

Finally, Meng Yuxin came home from school.
