My Twin Sugar Mommies and Two Systems are 100 Years Late! Chapter 19.
Yan Anle was not oblivious to the brief nonverbal exchange between his little maid and Pan Ting, but in his opinion, as long as things did not get physical or loud, it was fine.
His amiable interaction with Pan Ting was not for fun or because he was interested in her body, but for the main reason he had come here—recruiting someone who could fill the role of Hostess for the Anle Abode.
From the fact that they had to learn the rules of the Bliss Tokens from a lustful passerby, it was obvious how low their information balance was. With the aid of Pan Ting, his endeavors in the Bliss Sanctuary, both now and in the future, would proceed much more smoothly.
Hence the question: "A One-Crown Courtesan? What does that mean?"
A glimmer appeared in Pan Ting's eyes. "As I suspected. It is indeed Dear Guest's first time at a place like ours."
Yan Anle did not deny it.
"Establishments like ours that cater to cultivators' needs all rank their workers." Pan Ting folded her arms beneath the mounds of her chest and readily explained, "Even our counterparts that only cater to mortals would do the same, although not as formally. In such places, the most popular girls receive more privileges and attention from the owner. The prices for a private encounter vary noticeably. Here, it is the same—only more pronounced. We don't just concern ourselves with outer beauty and skills in the Arts—Music, Painting, and the like—but also cultivation levels."
Yan Anle and Dou E both paid close attention.
"Those who are restricted to receiving customers on the first floor, even catering to mortals, are the Uncrowned. Those who have reached the Mid-stage of Qi Refining like me, or Late-stage Qi Refining, receive customers on this floor and are One-Crowned." She gestured to herself before pointing toward the ceiling. "Directly above are the Two-Crowned, who possess at least a Foundation Establishment First Layer cultivation base. Those sisters do not accept coins, only Spirit Stones. To even meet them, you must spend the equivalent of at least 200 low-grade Spirit Stones and receive a White Bliss Token down here."
At this point, Pan Ting sighed deeply, a mix of admiration and envy. Currently, her main goal was to earn enough Spirit Stones in commissions to bring her one step closer to the fourth level of Foundation Establishment.
'Alas, that is so far in the future for me. I'm still only at the second level of Foundation Establishment.'
"As for the topmost floor, the entry requirements are even more exaggerated," she resumed shortly. "The spending requirement jumps to five hundred low-grade Spirit Stones. And that is not all; one of those Late-stage Foundation Establishment or Core Formation Senior Sisters must invite you up. Otherwise, even if you spend thousands of Spirit Stones, you can never go up there. There are several cases like that till today."
Yan Anle stroked his neatly shaved chin and nodded. This matched what he had heard earlier. 'The third floor's limitations are reasonable. Who are Core Formation figures? These people would hold the position of Elder in almost any sect! Even Late-stage Foundation Establishment cultivators would be treated as Holy Sons or Holy Daughters in smaller forces.'
Once he snapped out of his inner musings, he asked for more details on what to watch out for within the Bliss Sanctuary. Pan Ting readily shared her knowledge within the bounds of what she was permitted to disclose. Eventually, two men arrived with trays—one carrying the wines and the other the meals.
"Dear Guest, please enjoy," they chorused enthusiastically. The owner of Bliss Sanctuary treated their staff well; the kitchen staff, like the courtesans, received bonuses for handling particularly large orders.
"Mm," Yan Anle acknowledged them, then turned to Pan Ting. "Miss Pan, I must get to sampling these. In the meantime, could you prepare a White Bliss Token for me?"
Pan Ting smiled. "Mr. Yan, I won't deceive you. I do not hold the authority to issue Bliss Tokens myself. However, they are ready-made. Once it is confirmed that you have reached the spending threshold, one will be issued to you on the spot."
"I see. Still, thank you for the chat, Miss Pan."
"Haha, the pleasure is all mine."
Happy as a lottery winner, Pan Ting skipped away from their table under the envious glances of her "sisters." When they had seen Yan Anle and Dou E walk in, they had resisted approaching because Yan Anle appeared mortal and Dou E was only at the Early-stage of Foundation Establishment. They assumed the duo wouldn't have many Spirit Stones to spare. Some regrets, alas, can never be rectified.
Still, they weren't going to cause trouble. "Big pockets" like this were rare, but not as rare as a Heavenly Dog swallowing the sun.
"Don't just stare," Yan Anle told his little maid, placing a piece of Demonic Beast meat in the bowl before her. "Eat. I did not order all of this just for the Bliss Token."
After hearing his words, Dou E let go of her reservations and began to eat. "Thank you, Young Master."
Yan Anle chuckled and pushed a bowl toward her. "There is Spiritual Rice, too."
The duo enjoyed a hearty meal. Time marched on like soldier ants, and eventually, Yan Anle cooed softly after a sip of Spirit Wine.
"As expected, Spirit Food and normal food are two different things!" he remarked with satisfaction.
"Indeed, Young Master. I feel as though my breakthrough to the next minor realm will be much easier now," Dou E agreed. "Still, it does not taste as splendid as your cooking."
Yan Anle laughed. "Flattery."
Dou E argued, "It is not flattery, Young Master. I mean it! I bet that once you begin cultivating, if you take up Spirit Cooking as an auxiliary path, you will certainly make a name for yourself."
"Okay, okay. Whatever you say," Yan Anle smiled, turning to wave in a certain direction.
Pan Ting had been waiting within his line of sight. Once he waved, her Divine Sense picked it up immediately, and she walked over with swaying hips. She led them to the payment counter and congratulated them. "Yan Daren, Miss, now that you have the White Bliss Token, you may freely proceed to the third floor. If you ever need Pan Ting for anything in the future, I will not be shy."
Yan Anle exchanged a few pleasantries before exiting the second floor with Dou E and approaching the stairway. He showed the guards the Token—which he had just bound to himself with a drop of blood—and the guards parted.
Their attitude was completely transformed. "We hope you have a pleasant time, Dear Guest."
