BALCROFT
Griselda's POV
It's been weeks now since Aidan brought the healer. Slowly, I regained my powers like he said I would in time.
Everyday I'm surrounded with this heavy silence. The whole house feels empty except for the occasional sight of a guard or a maid. The only noise heard are from the clattering pots and plates in the kitchen, and the soft padding of boots as the guards walk around.
Surprisingly, Aidan often takes me along on his hunting trips. I don't get the reason for them because he neither takes the hunt home or eats them. It might be the thrill or pride that comes with it…
Aidan and I went from enemies to… well, something else. Something messed up and real. Everyday I stand at the tall windows on the walkway or in the corridor at the top of the building, watching and waiting for him.
