THE KINGDOM OF LAGHI
The afternoon sun beats down hard on the bustling marketplace in the streets of Laghi.
It's a small kingdom dominated by humans and vampires alike, with the leaders in allegiance to Balcroft.
Mark wipes away the sweat pouring down his face and neck, barely noticing the sun. He's too busy haggling over a sack of potatoes, his voice so jovial and corny as he tries to squeeze every last coin from the weary-looking buyer.
He always gets his way, he always has. It's a skill he's honed most of his life, taking what he can get and giving back as little as possible. His face contours in anger as the buyer acts uninterested due to the price.
Finally, he finally clinches the deal. A triumphant smile spreads across his face as he puts the coins into his pouch, jiggling them. He decides to head back to Alethea's place to help her tend to the small farm that provides for them.
