Chapter 166 - A Conversation

Chapter One Hundred Sixty-Six:

Sky City

"Medea!" suddenly she was surprised by someone that she knows.

"What…"

"Let's go home!" he firmly said.

"No!" she firmly answered.

"Do you know what you are saying?"

"Yes, Netro. I know what I'm saying so, can you stop interfering with my life?!"

"Medea! Don't you see what Kanik is doing?!"

"Yes, and I don't care because as long as I can stay by his side, I will do everything and anything that he wishes me to do."

"Even if he marries someone else, and left you as the other woman?"

Medea took a long time before she could answer. "Yes, and I don't care even if I became his mistress." She bravely answered before she walks out away from him.

Sage's House

"What happened?" Norward immediately asked Netro as soon as he came back.

"Nothing." He answered. "She really won't leave Kanik no matter what I do. She decided to be by his side." Netro sadly added.

"We can't do anything about it because Medea deeply in love with him."

"But she will be his mistress!" he madly stated. "And that's what makes me angry because I can't save my sister!"

"Let us just pray that Shu Tokino will be able to save Manu's soul." Norward answered with full of hope.

Merwa Mountain

Manu and Edelweiss' House

I just silently stared at the darkening sky. After we toured the whole house then our belongings arrived from our home. So Haimon and I were busy arranging our things even though we only spent three nights in that house, Haimon and I just decided not to think about it and we just enjoyed the moment we had together.

And Haimon was really right here and that's exactly what I wanted to happen. Another, neither Kanik will destroy the whole world so Haimon and I know that the world is still safe from destruction. Though some innocent lives will be sacrifice that makes me sad, yet to think that there are people still protecting those innocent lives, I know they can handle it for a while.

"You're just here." suddenly Haimon came.

"Come, sit beside me," I said as I smiled.

Haimon sits beside me and hold my hand. "So, what are you doing here?"

"Just looking up at the sky," I simply answered.

"Uhm," he said and nodded and looks up too. "It's getting dark."

"Yes, and soon stars will show up."

"Is that what you are waiting for?"

"Yeah! And I want to see shooting stars as well."

He laughs. "So, now I get it. You wanted to wish something right?"

"Uhm!" I excitedly answered.

I still remember back then that one of the dates we had was watching the stars until I saw a shooting star that I accompanied with a fervent wish. That wish was fulfilled because I married the only man I had dreamed of. Haimon Del Gazini.

Yet, what I don't know is that the man I married has a hidden mystery. A mystery that also pertains to me, a mystery from the past and the only savior is me.

"Wait, I remember that you also saw a shooting star before and you wished for something there, can I know what you wished for?"

I smiled. "I wish that the only man that took my attention will be my husband." I honestly answered.

"So, did your wish come true?" he asked even though I knew he already knew who I was referring to.

"What do you think?" I said, playing along with his innocence.

Haimon laughs a little bit before he answered. "I never thought your wish would be fulfilled."

"Of course! I made the way myself and I never really missed that opportunity to talk to you even though I knew you were bothered that day."

"No, you didn't bother me that day." He replied. "The truth, I didn't really want to meet that person that day because I wasn't in the mood to talk business in a bar. But that man is stubborn that he really forces me to agree with him that is why I ended up going there. And luckily you were there to save my day. So I am thankful that you took the courage to meet and face me," he added as he squeezed my hand firmly.

"I'm glad to hear that." I said then he suddenly sighs in relief. "What was that for?" I curiously asked.

"Well, now I just thought it would be nice to talk about our past. Especially now that we are doing nothing because we are both out of our respective jobs," he explained.

"Yeah, you were right!" I agreed. "I just now thought that we hardly talked like this before. Not that I'm complaining because I am guilty too that I became too busy with my own business. While you too became too busy at your own company, and I do understand it yet now that we have so much time. I can say that I miss those time that we still have more time to be together. Just simply like this."

"You were right." he agreed. "And I feel so sorry because I haven't dated you anymore."

"That's fine. At least, you take some time to be with me although I'll tell you honestly. There are moments when I suddenly lose consciousness and I just wake up in the morning having trouble remembering what happened last night. So, will you tell me what are you doing with me?" I asked and look at him in the eyes.

Haimon takes a deep breath before he answered. "Honestly, I compel you."

"Why?"

"To let you forget of my sudden change whenever I want to devour you." He sincerely answered and quickly added. "You know what I mean, Shu. Because being a Vampire every time I'm being passionate with you, I lose my control, which I can't stop myself not to drink your blood, ending of hurting you. And that's not what I want."

"Then, drink my blood." I said that surprise him.
