Chapter 162 - The Return of Kanik's Memories

Chapter One Hundred Sixty-Two:

Reinhardt's Mansion

It took me longer before I finally notice that there is someone inside my room. I quickly sits up to my bed and check out for Medea that was already sleeping soundly. Then my eyes search through the dark.

"I know you were there so, come out now!" I commanded as I wait and it only took a second as he showed himself. "Who are you?! And what are you doing here into my room?!"

"As I expected, you won't be able to remember once you came out of that darkness." He answered. "But anyway, that is the reason why I am here. To let you remember once again."

"What are you talking about?"

"Let me introduce myself first. I am Ozul the tiny shadow minion of your 'Joker' but not now because for some reason, once I get out of the darkness, I became like this. I suddenly got a normal size of a human. Isn't it amazing?!" he excitedly answered with a smile.

"Huh! I don't care if you became like that but I do care is how you got in here and what are you doing here?"

"Oh, that! I'm just silently waiting until you finally… you know. Release your own heat!"

"What the hell!" anger suddenly emerged after hearing what he said.

"Ow, no! Don't get mad!" Ozul said as he raised his both hands.

"Damn it! Don't you say you watched what happened to us here?!"

"Come on! It is a normal thing to do but anyway, to clear things up. I need to bring back your memories." He said and before I can react, he suddenly cast a spell.

Merwa Mountain

"Love," I hold his hand. "Please, trust them. And I also don't want anything bad to happen to you." I added as I intently look into Haimon's eyes before he finally silently agreed.

Afterwards…

Night…

I silently stared into the clear darkness of the night. Almost nothing enters my mind after I know what I should do to save Manu's soul. That even though I trust Navina and Rishna my skepticism is still there because entering the world of the dead is not an easy task. It is too dangerous to go through that realm because I need to die before going there and that's what I also fear the most.

So I'm not sure if I'll agree with what they said or I'll just let Kanik do what he wants to do on Earth. I firmly close my eyes, when suddenly someone approaches me. I open my eyes only to meet Rishna.

"You're just staring at the night sky." She said as she sits beside me. "What do you plan to do now?"

"What do you mean?"

"Kanik has regained consciousness and at any time I am sure that his memories will return soon. So, what are you going to do now?"

"I… I don't know. I really don't know what to do because if I tell you the truth, I am afraid to do what you and Navina suggested." I honestly answered.

"I know this will happen so, help will come to keep you calm." She said that surprised me.

"What do you mean?"

"You will soon meet him and for now, you must first stay here in the mountains."

"Why? Haimon and I had to go home."

"Because I'm sure Kanik will wait for your return and that won't be nice because he knows how weak you are. That is why you need to stay here for a while because this mountain is the safeties place for you right now. And I know Haimon will agree to it."

I look at her as I sigh deeply. "Alright, if that is the case then I'll stay here for a while." I agreed even though I want to be alone with Haimon.

"What!" I was surprised from what I've learned from Sai. "Are you telling the truth?"

"Yes." She answered. "Kanik's memories have returned and we are sure that the first thing he will look for is Shu Tokino. So, it's better for Shu to stay here before she gets in danger."

"No. I need to do something!" I answered.

"We have no choice but to save Manu's soul." Wafi answered as soon as he came unnoticed.

"What are you doing here?!" I quickly asked as I put my guard up.

"Hey!" Sai immediately block my way.

"What are you doing?!" I asked her.

"He is not our enemy, Haimon." She spoke.

"What!"

"Sai is right, Haimon." Truman answered. "My son isn't the enemy but he is our only spy inside the Reinhardt's brother." He explained.

I looked at them with confusion at what they said. Even though they had already told that Kanik had a known brother whose name was Kieran and they only found out later that it was just a nuisance to hide the true reincarnation of Manu. Yet, I still can't help but be confused by what's happening.

"I know this is kind of confusing but that is the truth, Haimon." Sai answered. "And he is the only one we can get the information that we need about Kanik. He is our only hope, Haimon. So, please do understand it."

I massage my forehead before I answered. "I don't know what to say." I honestly answered. "But right now, what is important to me is to make sure Shu is safe."

"She is safe, Haimon." Navina answered. "And now Aunt Rish is talking to her, now Shu Tokino knows she need stay to this place for a while until we our sure that she can go out of this mountain."

"Love?"

"Love." I immediately turned to meet my husband, Haimon. "Has Rishna already told you that I need to stay here for a while?"

"Yes, I already know but it was Navina and the others told me about it."

"Okay." I said and nodded.

"What are you thinking right now?" he worriedly asked.

"I'm afraid." I honestly answered. "And I'm loss of thoughts, Haimon."
