Third person POV
Seeing that his radical, but privatized treatment worked, Gen was relieved that Reina had finally calmed down and had some sleep at this hour (before that, he only slept approximately 5 hours a night due to his night shifts of guard duty). So, he lifted Reina's body and prompted it against the wall so he would first clean the blood from it, before carrying it to his room while hoping that no one would see that. Mara and Martha were already asleep at this hour, and some of Gen's subordinates and researchers are already asleep after a long day of survival and continuing research for the cure for the zombie virus.
And then, Gen arrived in Reina's room and laid down his body on his bed gently and carefully, before tucking the blanket on his waist and, like a parent to a child, giving a kiss on his forehead. After that, Gen prepared a new set of clothes for him and returned to the lab where his first treatment for Reina's mental illness had been successful to do some clean up, making sure that no trace would be discovered by anyone in this organization. While he did so, he felt that he could confidently calm Reina's mental wreckage, which was worse than a train wreck down a hill. He then thought, "But I was still responsible for his parents' death…I will do what I can do to take up the responsibilities of being his parent and take good care of him."
With that, his determination strengthened, before finishing his clean up, and he applied some chemicals to make sure that invisible traces of Reina's blood would not be seen.
And then after that, he walked up to his room and burned some incense sticks for Reina's deceased parents. He then started praying for their souls, asking for forgiveness and reciting his vow to take good care of him for life. After that, he went to bed.
The next morning, Reina woke up, all groggy and tasted his own blood on his mouth. "What happened last night?" he asked while staring at the ceiling.
And then, he remembered his first torture treatment under Gen last night, and though he shivered by that memory, he felt better in terms of mental and emotional stability.
And suddenly, Gen entered the room with a tray of breakfast food and a cup of coffee. "Oh, morning, Reina-kun." Reina heard that and looked at him. "Oh, morning, Gen-san." Putting the tray on Reina's desk, Gen looked at him with a positive outlook for his well-being. "How are you now?"
Reina then nodded. "I'm feeling better now…I would say this…thanks for that treatment. I felt I had deserved that a lot."
Gen was stunned yet remained confident and supportive for his friend and adoptive child. "I see then, you're welcome."
Both then decided to do that series of treatments at night and at least one hour after dinner and agreed on that.
After eating his breakfast, Reina took a shower and had his bloody clothes taken care of by Gen, who soaked them in detergent and some chemicals to remove any blood trace from them. By now, an assassin of Gen, a young man named Ichiro Hamada, came to Gen in Reina's room and asked how Reina was now.
"Yes, he's okay, for now," Gen responded back.
Hearing that, Ichiro was relieved for Reina, who had a close friendship at the time when he was crying on his crime against Gen and that Ichiro had comforted in his emotional turmoil storm.
