Qiu Xinyi arrived at the hospital and headed straight for Ji Chuan's office. She knocked on the door a few times, but it was silent inside, and no one responded to her.
She tried pushing the door.
The door opened, and the room was empty.
She immediately turned around and went to the nurse's station to ask about the situation: "Excuse me, can you tell me where Dr. Ji went?"
"Dr. Ji is still in the operating room. Is there something you need from him?"
"Oh, just a little matter. About how long until he comes out?"
"Not sure."
"Alright, thank you." Qiu Xinyi thanked the nurse. Since Ji Chuan's return time wasn't certain, she decided not to wait there.
I'll come another time. She wanted to hand over these clothes to Ji Chuan in person.
As Qiu Xinyi walked back with the clothing bag, she heard the nurses behind her whispering.
"Dr. Ji's love life has been quite active recently."
