In the original timeline, it was something done by the Serpent Celestial Marshal, who had gained the Celestial Marshal Shard of the Fallen Celestial Marshal—he disassembled and reconstructed the Demons, transforming them into Elemental Spirits. Now, these Demons still survive in the Dream Realm only because the Demon Scholar lost its Strength and was forced to disperse them back into the Dream Realm.
