Both my parents work during the mornings out until the late afternoon so I am left home alone throughout the week. Since I am so young I am not allowed to exit my house, but I am allowed to interact with people through the windows. When I get bored I like to wave to my neighbors and they always wave back with a smile. However, some days when I see them waving, they're looking away, over somewhere I cannot see in the confindes of my home. However, one day, my parents were late and my anxiety began to sprout.
I sat by the window to wait for them to arrive. As time passed, people continued to walk pass my house and waved in that same unseen corner, but their bright smiles began shifting into looks of confusion. As night started it's decent, nearly nobody were walking pass, and all that did gave distressed looks when they gazed over towards me. Eventually, however, as it became dark, my vision outside was completely dulled—I couldn't see anything.
As I kept looking, I realized I could see glimpes of light outside but it would immediately get blocked again. I walked over to the storage closet and rummaged around until I found a flashlight. I slowly crept back over to the window and pointed the flashlight towards the window and turned it on. There was a large black hand, with fingers three times as long as mine… just waving.
I jumped back in shock and I believe that scared this entity as well because when I shined the light back on it, it was gone. It was silent for some time, and I could see outside clearly. I didn't know what to do. Eventually, however, the deafening silence was broken by my dad's voice calling me to come outside. I couldn't see him anywhere. I hesitated for a moment—and he called again. That's when I realized it was coming from the blind corner. I slowly inched to the door and twisted the lock. Trying to swallow my fears, I walked outside and I saw it. An enormous, black, snake-like being wrapped around my house, with my father's face planted on it, although melting.
As I stood there terrified I noticed something; it wasn't moving, it was just waving at me. I slowly raised my hand up and began waving back at it. It then began to creep towards me, still waving, and it stopped when my father's melting face was right in front of me. Through the horrific mesh I could tell it was trying to smile at me. It starts slithering away into the abyss of the night. I go with it, waving to anyone else I see with a bright smile.
