Madam Cai walked with Xiao Ruo and Chow Yun through the warehouse gates and said, "Madam, in truth, there aren't many valuable things on this manor, but during the spring and autumn harvests, there are some farm goods and crops to store, so the warehouse is divided into left and right sections.
"The left warehouse is for storing farm goods and crops during the spring and autumn harvests, and it's empty now, with some dried meats moved to the cellar. The right warehouse stores some medicinal herbs and animal pelts, which were collected by my household and the manor people during the farm's idle times."
It's not that Steward Cai and the manor people are too honest, but whether it's the Imperial Manor or a private one, the items collected during idle times on the mountain by the steward and tenant farmers belong to the manor, except for daily use.
