(Third Person POV)
"Kogane." Ryu said as he took a step back, "Who's this guy?"
Kiryu raised his eyebrow, wondering what he was talking about.
Suddenly, Kogane appeared next to Ryu and announced;
"Player: Gojo Kiryu~! Head of The Gojo Clan and Gojo Satoru's cousins. The Shining Star of Destruction and an unofficial Special-Grade Sorcerer~!!"
Kiryu narrowed his eyes, "So that's what rule was about." He said as he jumped away from Uro's attack
The ballsy attack from Uro was easily avoided, she had lunged at Kiryu and swung a kick at him. Her entire body was covered in superficial gashes, nothing too deep and concerning for her. Despite that, she was still wary of his strength; Kiryu had landed a Black Flash, and his cursed energy output was raised drastically.
"So this guy's a big shot?" Uro said, "Your presence is there, alright."
Kogane let out a chime, "Personal Note from Kenjaku; the creator of the games." It said, "Gojo Kiryu is worth 10,000 points~~~!!! If he is defeated and or killed, it will be the same as slaying the King of Curses~~!!!"
Ryu raised his arms and pointed at Kiryu and Uro, "Take this!" He said with a smirk, "Quite the hot-shot!!"
"Granite Blast!!!"
He fired off a massive cannon beam at the two of them, attempting to take them out in a single shot.
Kiryu punched Uro away, coincidentally, and faced the incoming blast.
"Is this all you can do?" Kiryu said with a bored expression
"Calamity Blade: Splitting of The Soul's Resonance"
Within a split second; Kiryu assumed an Iai stance with his sword drawn and immediately slashed at the massive beam of Cursed Energy, cutting it in half. This was something that took both Uro and Ryu by surprise, which it shouldn't have since Kiryu had punched through a Granite Blast not too long ago.
The beam hit around Kiryu, exploding violenlty.
"What the hell?" Ryu said, "I swear he just.....destroyed my cursed energy?"
He then braced himself, still feeling the damage of the Black Flash, which he was still trying to hide; something Kiryu instantly noticed. Taking that hit head-on, even when reinforcing himself with Cursed Energy, was incredibly dangerous. Fortunately for Ryu, he was tougher than he hoped for.
Kiryu was about to follow up his attack but was attacked by Uro, who lunged at him with insane speed.
"What the..." Kiryu said as he parried her punch with his blade, "What's your deal? Did you use the air against me?"
"Shit...." Uro said as she staggered
Kiryu slashed at her, cutting the air in front of her, something that was intended by Uro, causing a powerful shockwave.
"Hm..." Kiryu said, "Interesting....alright, how's this?"
"Distortion"
The space around Uro was warped and suddenly imploded on her, crushing her with an insane pressure, causing her gashes to explode with more blood.
"G-Gahhh!!!" Uro exclaimed in pain as she was sent flying backwards
Ryu saw this and immediately realized what had happened, "He...is he using a power to destroy? He used it on the space around him....." He said as he took a step forward, "He distorted the space to create an unimaginable pressure!!"
He was correct; Kiryu's Calamity was the power of Destruction. Anything and everything that is inorganic is susceptible to his power, he's able to destroy it. One thing that is not capable of being affected by his power is organic material, in short....living beings.
This, however, is overridden by the fact that Kiryu's Calamity consists of Cursed Energy Destruction, the ability to destroy the Cursed Energy itself. He can target a living sorcerer's cursed energy, rupturing it, and damaging them from inside.
Kiryu's cursed energy has properties of Calamity, allowing him to employ parts of the effects by using pure physical attacks. Which was the only reason he was able to punch through Ishigori's Granite Blast cannon.
"Prepare yourself..." Kiryu said as he jumped at Ryu
He snapped his fingers and released a shockwave of pure distortion, causing Ryu's vision to become blurry as he was unable to recognize what he was seeing, the space around him completely warped.
Kiryu swung his blade at him, cutting at his shoulder. But Ryu was able to anticipate a cut, so he defended himself with pure cursed energy, which was still futile, as Kiryu's cursed energy property was able to still damage him.
"How the hell...." Ryu said as blood exploded from his shoulder
Kiryu's Distortion is the result of his using Calamity on space itself, distorting space itself. Because Limitless and Calamity have some similarities in their fundamentals, Kiryu was able to master Distortion to the point where he could create a pocket dimension where he stores cursed tools, his katana included.
This can mean he can create holes in space.
"Distortion: Chains of The Sealed One"
Ryu was then immobilized by the black chains that suddenly wrapped around his arms and legs.
"What the fuck?!" He exclaimed
He looked around to see several small holes in space opened; the black chains emerging from them.
Kiryu's katana disappeared; he had sent it back to his pocket dimension.
He appeared in front of Ryu and reared his hand back, giving him a serious glare.
"You're either lucky or unlucky.....I don't know...." Kiryu said with a serious tone, "You took the first one like a champ....but here comes the second one...."
He swung his fist straight at his face, black sparks emanating.
"Black Flash"
"Granite Cannon!!!"
If seen from a distance, one could see that there was a massive explosion caused by a cursed energy cannon that was surrounded by black lightning of cursed energy.
Ryu had fired off his Granite Cannon from sticking his tongue out, using it to block the incoming Black Flash.
But.....Kiryu had connected, albeit partially.
The explosion shattered the ground and shook the entire block.
Both Ryu and Kiryu emerged from the cloud of smoke and flames, covered in smoke and their charred clothes.
Ryu, who was the most damaged out of it, smirked.
"What the hell..." He said as his face was seriously bruised, "You're one crazy bastard."
Kiryu waved the smoke off, "I commend you, sorcerer of the past." He said, "This is embarrassing for me. I hit you with one and couldn't connect the second one."
"It is unbecoming of me."
