The wind swirled past fiercely from the Knight, a frightening sight with sand being kicked up by its struggle to stand up. One foot to stabilize and then the other as the air shivering sound of death.
Alexander took a step back and then another in quick succession and with caution until he had made many small back-steps towards one of the sides of the building he had came from.
'I hope whatever brought me here is still beside that decrepit bungalow next to the other house. I came in suddenly so it didn't feel like a Gate. Gates feel more like getting every atom in your body stretched and kicked. The fact I felt like nothing when I stepped through to this place could only mean I stumbled upon a Dominion.'
Dominions are remnants of a Gate crash that never went away. Though Gates are active tears in space that lead to a place in space, Dominions are pieces of the Gate that is destroyed when it breaks and is left there until someone clears them.
'Yep, getting out right now. Quick and quiet. If I ever do this again im going to need bait. Lunaris, keep an eye out for this type of thing next time. I hate bieng sucker punched'
"None can escape a spider in her web. Oh Dearie, you see every move you make, every turn you take, I'll be watching you." she spoke, the once regalness she commanded thrown away for one of a Apex huntress, cruel and assured of her kill. "The negotiations have just begun!"
The spider queens voice, creeped up Alexanders neck like a touch of a web against the face. "F*** that!"
The spider queens hold over the area still held power in the ancient domain. Though the webs were breaking, she still held dominion over this space as its god and could be omnipotent to a extent.
Alexander sprinted away from the building at a runners pace. 'Nope, not for me. I see the house I came from and as soon as I'm around that corner we should be safe.'
Alexander traversed the few meters to the edge of the dilapidated building and crested the edge. His first sight he beheld was a nightmare in blackmail.
The black metal, darker than matte and no more rust shone as if it was just recently forged. The leather on its various straps became supple and strong regaining its former durability. In its hand now held a blade, as elegant as he was deadly, at his side waiting to be used with deadly percision.
Blades of darkness blasted out from him and destroyed the Mana webs that littered the area and clung to Alexander.
"Oh... Umm, thanks. I..If you are mad about me wanting to take you with me and all that stuff I said earlier, I was just joking around," he said his eyes now frantically seaching around.
The Ring of Firstborne, given to him by A'rathèl, vibrated intensely in its presence. 'That thing doesn't seem like that creature, so what does the vibrations mean? More questions than answers it seems. Like, what the heck is this thing.'
A strong aura gripped Alexanders ring hand like a vice, pulling him towards the armor with force enough to drag his heels0. The knight gripped Alexanders hand and a voice spoke to Alexander through his mind.
Like a static feedback the voice pushed through his mind and made itself known. 'Fear not, Childe! I mean you no animosity. I see her Grace has chosen thee as her herald. Fear me not and accept mine mark so that we may in your own words, get the freak out of here. The world from your mind is stranger than I once knew.'
Argh!
The frequency of the voice passed through his mind like a sandpaper wrapped cheese grater. Blood trickled through his ears and nose as he processed what the oppressive thoughts and the flood of memories bieng forced into his mind.
"I'll accept your mark if you make an Arcane Pack with me to protect me and my interests. I know what accepting ancient pacts with mystical powers entails, I wish to have some assurances."
A crushing force bent the side of the house away from them and even the dirt drained of nourishing life in a sphere around them. The Knights fury shattered the area with a mere shift of its brow.
'You are an interesting one, Childe. I agree for now to this pact,' The black Knight spoke without losing the authority in his aged voice. 'I will place my mark on you and thus pass my will on to you as my apprentice. '
A light of dark-red enveloped Alexanders shoulder for a second before the Knight fadded to dust and disappeared. A searing pain shot through his back like a hot poker. It burned for an instant and then soothed quickly.
A feeling of relief took over as he looked down at his arm guard. "Okay, thats cool. Oh, so it has abilities too? Legendary gear is something else. Why was he here?bmore and more questions pile up in front of me. Lets see what this thing can do Lunaris."
*Legendary ArmorEx: Corrupted Death Knight Armor. Corrupt armor of a death knight that fought relentlessly till ironically he died. The armor is a legendary type and all other effects are uknown. Soul bound.*
'Thats some interesting effects. And my stats shot up so much.

'Lunaris these stats are insane for a F-rank to have. I'm a sudo Rank-C, I felt strong before but this is on another level. My senses can feel the currents of mana around me... its like being in the ocean. Like a crushing force than a warm hug. So much I never knew around me would have overloaded me if it wasn't for you Lunaris.'
'The Swarm is efficient as always, Mast... Alex. The excessive energy you have received from the Arcane pack is currently surging through both your mana viens and the circuits. The Ring of Firstborne, as a conduit, is holding it back.'
Black digital veins dotted Alexanders skin like flares of scars. "I need to burn the excess power off, or I'll go up in smoke. Gotcha."
"Dearie, why do you run from your Queen." Pale and nearly iridescent came the spider queens. Lumbering over the destroyed buildings menacingly she shot out webs of mana forwards, aiming to capture Alexander.
The thin webs shot out from her maw as a liquid, hardening when touching the air. Flying through the air the magical net laced everything and trapped all movements. "Now, tell me where the entrance is and I will kill you quickly once we are outside. I may even make you my first servant in the new kingdom."
The remnants of debris falling and any creatures small enough to scurry away made the only noise around.
"Oh and look here, I believe I've found the perfect target. Sometimes the universe just gives you what you need. Lets go bois, time for your debut."
Darkness swirled around Alexanders feet as he activated and ancient dark power. The overflowing mana from the dark knight armor easily shot through his system to overcharge his ability, Heart of the Sovereign. "Obey your Sovereign, arise!"
