Liao Agong slapped his son's head irritably: "Nonsense, if your sister wasn't in trouble, would she call you? Hurry up and answer!"
Liao Hong glanced at Wu Jun again and answered the phone. As soon as he pressed the connect button, his sister's tearful voice came through:
"A-di, your brother-in-law's in trouble... he... hit someone... he's at the police station now!"
Liao Hong's face changed dramatically upon hearing his sister's words: "What happened? Speak slowly!"
On the other side, Wu Jun also heard Yingzi's voice on the phone, and he frowned, pulling the car over to the side of the road and turning back to look at Liao Hong.
Yingzi on the other line was clearly flustered, her voice shaking as she spoke:
"I... I don't know either. I just received a call from the police station saying your brother-in-law hit someone and was taken there, and they're asking for compensation from us. I... I don't know how to gather so much money so quickly!"
