[3rd POV]
Upon hearing the question, Peter 616 glanced at his fellow spider people. He was wondering what sort of information that Gwen had, as if it was important enough, it could seriously change the outcome of their fights with the Inheritors.
"Well, if possible, I'd like to get back right now. I've been gone for hours now, so it's best we get back before anything happens" Peter 616 said as they nodded, Gwen stretched slightly as Peter 616 tapped a few buttons on his watch, a blue portal appearing in front of them a few moments later.
Looking at the portal, Gwen raised an eyebrow.
"Quite the form of teleportation technology you have there. Using the Web of Life and Destiny as a sort of guide" Gwen commented, and if Peter 616's expression was any indicator, he didn't seem to know that that is what the technology was doing.
"That...I didn't know that. Alright, let's get on through, everybody is waiting for us" Peter 616 said, as he motioned for Peter and Gwen to follow, which they did. Following after Peter 616, Gwen stepped into the portal and reappeared on the other side.
Gwen glanced around the open area, noticing that it was full of different Spider People, around fifty or so. Some of them are much stronger than others, and some of them are quite weak.
"Not a bad group you've got here, Peter" Gwen noted, glancing at them. The strongest of them was by far the Captain Universe version, and he was strong enough that Gwen could tell he would be a decent fight for her.
She estimated that his current self, which was quite a bit weaker than the Captain Universe in 616 or even in her universe, would be on par with Mephisto or so, at least, when he wasn't in his own dimension. So not really that impressive. It was more so the potential of the power that he held that caused Gwen to grow interested.
"Everyone, this is Peter Parker and Gwendolyn Wayne of Earth 6162" Peter 616 said, as Gwen raised an eyebrow at the Earth number. As it was actually Earth 616-2, not 6162. There was a rather large difference between the two, and that was because the two universes were basically sister universes, being close in line with one another.
To the point that they were very very close.
"These are the ones that you went out to get? That you've been away for hours to gather? What a waste of time" The Superior Spiderman Peter said with a scowl on his face, this was the Spiderman from when he was Superior Spiderman, aka the one that was taken over by Doc Ock. So he was not from an alternate universe, but instead, was from the past of Earth 616.
Hearing these words, Peter of Gwen's universe looked insulted, while Gwen just raised an amused eyebrow. The others that Peter 616 had gathered looked just as insulted as Peter did, although they weren't able to show it well, considering one of them was a literal cow, another was a Robot, and one of them had a bag over his head. The only one that could properly show an expression was Old Man Spiderman.
"No need to be rude over there, mister "I'm better than everyone else"" Gwen said with an eye roll, as she glanced over at the rest of the Spider People. She saw that Silk was not there, nor was Kaine, meaning they had already split up.
She inwardly wondered how she was going to go about doing this. As Solus, Morlun, Jannix would be coming soon, and once they did, Solus would be hers to fight and kill. She already had a few plans for what she was going to do.
"You-" "Just stop fighting already, it's better we focus on the fact that Gwen here says she has information for us" Peter 616 said, cutting off Superior.
"Information? What sort of information?" The Captain Britain Spiderman asked, as Gwen's mask lowered through the symbiote.
"Like why it is that the inheritors are going after certain members of the Spider Totems, specifically the Bride, the Other, and the Scion" Gwen responded, causing them to all look at her with more focus than before.
"Why? Why are they chasing after them?" Peter asked seriously.
"Because of a prophecy, a ritual of sorts. Should they claim all three of them, gather them in one place, and sacrifice their blood, then they will stop the birth of any new Spider Totems, wiping out the Spider Totems from the greater multiverse, for good" Gwen explained, as their eyes widened in alarm.
"That would mean-" "That you have to keep those three safe, yes" Gwen cut him off as he breathed out.
"Who? Who would they be?" Peter 616 asked, as the others stared at Gwen.
"Kaine of your Earth, Silk of your Earth, and Benjy, the little baby brother of Mayday" Gwen responded, causing Peter 616 to curse knowing that the former two were both away, while Benjy was here, but he was a baby, a young baby that couldn't fight back.
"How can you possibly know their names? Or any of this information?" Superior Spiderman asked, as Gwen looked at him with a smile.
"Because I have traveled the multiverse a lot more than any of you have. And while I have not run across the Inheritors in person, I have run across many many many outlets of knowledge that gives me...quite a bit of information. And I have been to a number of your universes, one of which was Maydays. And while I haven't been to 616 yet, I know enough about it. Afterall, our universes are sister universes, born at the same time, born close to one another, and are directly connected to one another in a unique way" Gwen responded.
"How could you possibly have traveled the multiverse? You don't have the tech-" "I have technology that would break your mind, Peter. I may look like a normal 20 year old Gwen from another universe, but I am far from normal. My mind is well beyond anyone in my universe or any of yours, and my knowledge is the same" Gwen cut Superior off, not impressed with his arrogance.
"Then why didn't you bring any of it with you? We could have really used that sort of tech to help us" One of the Spider's asked.
"Because it is unneeded. Now, are we finished with this argument, or do you want to continue?" Gwen asked, as Superior let out a growl preparing to fight her, but 616 Peter stopped him.
"Yeah, we're done arguing. So uh, what else can you tell us about the inheritors?" Peter 616 questioned.
"Well for one, they have an infinite number of clones at their disposal, at least, until their cloning facilities are destroyed. And if my assumption is correct, Ben Reilly and Kaine are taking care of that, so that shouldn't be a problem for much longer. After that is finished, there is only around 10 of them, with their father being the strongest and leader of them all. He's the one that needs to get taken out first" Gwen responded.
"Taken out?"
"Killed, Peter. They aren't the type of being you can allow to live, because if you do, they will inevitably find a way back, and they will be a threat to not only every Spider Totem in the multiverse, but anyone else they can get their hands on" Gwen said, causing Peter 616 to shake his head.
"No, we don't kill, that is not what we do" Peter 616 said, as Peter from her universe looked a little awkward. As in their universe, several villains had been killed in the past, as they were more open to it, as long as it was simply the best option.
"You may not, but I do. So if you won't kill them, then I will, if that's what you want to keep your consciousness clean" Gwen said bluntly.
"No, we're not killing anyone, we're better than that, better than them"
"So you're okay with the consequences of leaving them alive, even if they could come back and kill all of us? You may say that we are not, but you do not control me, Peter, so what you say means nothing to me" Gwen responded, not caring for his words as he couldn't stop her even if he wanted to.
Only Captain Universe had a chance for that, and that was...unlikely.
With that said, Gwen let out a sigh as she looked over the group in front of them, before she spoke.
"So...how about we get started?"
