After a few hours, the elevator rattled as it plunged thousands of feet into the concrete heart of the Hoover Dam. Sam stood with his back against the cold steel wall, his hands still trembling. He thought his car was alien, fighting another alien and then there were those girls and then more alien cars and now some secret government agency. He thought his life was crazy. He looked up and saw a girl. "Who are you?" Sam asked. "Did they get you as well?" he asked.
Rachael looked at him. "I work here and are you that ladiesman?" she asked.
"She used to work here until she got caught, and that sorry excuse of a man is him," Simmons responded. His chest was puffed out.
"Where are we going?" Sam questioned as he looked at Simmons. "I have my rights," he added. "And where is my bag?" he asked.
"You're about to see it," Simmons responded. "And that bag had nothing," he added. "The reason everyone is after your grandfather's glasses," he added as the lift stopped. The doors hissed open. A blast of sub-zero air hit them. The smell of liquid nitrogen and ancient dust hit them.
"Oh my god," Sam whispered. He looked to see a massive silver giant suspended in a web of heavy-duty cables and cooling pipes. It was encased in layers of thick ice.
"NBE-1," Simmons announced with a theatrical wave. "Non-Biological Extraterrestrial. We found him in the Arctic in '34. He's been on ice ever since," he said.
Sam looked at him. "He looks like Optimus," Sam remarked.
Rachael stepped forward. She looked at the massive cooling towers surrounding the giant. "You're using the dam's entire power output just to keep him dormant," she noted.
"Exactly, the dam also makes sure that no sensor can pick it up while getting powers," Simmons said. "Now, come this way. You wanted to see the big attraction? The 'Cube'?" he asked.
"Cube?" Sam questioned
Simmons led them through a heavy blast door into a second chamber. There they saw a massive, geometric monolith covered in shifting Cybertronian glyphs. It hummed with a low-frequency vibration that Sam could feel in his very marrow.
"It's beautiful," Rachael murmured.
"They are coming for this," Sam said. "This is that All-Spark," Sam added.
Suddenly, the heavy thud of combat boots and the metallic clatter of rifles echoed from the corridor behind them. A group of dust-covered, battle-hardened soldiers burst into the room, led by Captain Lennox. Epps and Donnelly followed close behind. Their eyes were wide as they took in the scale of the Cube.
"Who the hell are you?" Simmons demanded. "This is a restricted zone," he added.
"I'm Captain Lennox," the soldier barked.
"We just got hammered by one of these things in the desert. My men are dead because we didn't know what we were fighting," he added. "We have been given orders to find out," Lennox said.
"They are after this," Sam said as he pointed to the Cube. "The Allspark. If the ones outside get it, it's game over for Earth," he added.
At that moment, from the back of the very SUV that had transported Sam, a small, silver casing shifted and clicked. Frenzy unfolded himself and got out of the SUV. He hit the asphalt and moved forward. He leapt from shadow to shadow and dived from one industrial crater to the next. He looked around and saw an intake vent near the base of the dam. He moved and sliced through the heavy steel grating with a spinning finger-blade. Frenzy jumped in and went forward.
Inside the ductwork, his glowing red optics scanned the heat signatures of the facility. He crawled through the narrow shafts until he reached a high vantage point which overlooked the main area.
He peered through the slats of a vent. He saw the pulsing, ancient light of the Allspark and, just beyond it, the frozen, massive form of Megatron.
Frenzy cackled. "Deceptions, the AllSpark and Master Megatron have been located," Frenzy said.
At that moment a massive, olive-drab M1 Abrams tank broke down a fence and drove down the road. The ground cracked beneath its heavy treads. It had a sharp, angular chobham composite armor and a massive, elongated turret that dominated its silhouette. The front had a steeply sloped glacis plate. It had a120mm smoothbore main gun, which extended forward from a turret. The rear houses a potent gas turbine engine, which made a distinct high-pitched whine as it powered down the road. "Brawl moving out," Brawl said.
From the other side of the state, a Buffalo H Mine-Protected vehicle tore through the scrubland. It was a 20-ton armored behemoth with a massive, V-shaped blast-deflecting hull and 30-foot robotic claw extending from the passenger side. It had six oversized, run-flat tires, It had thick ballistic glass windows and a high ground clearance. There was heavy-duty steel plating and a blunt, reinforced nose. "Bonecrusher coming down," Bonecrusher remarked.
From the clouds above, a massive Sikorsky MH-53 Pave Low helicopter descended. The matte-grey hull was bristling with weaponry, and the giant rotor blades sliced through the wind like serrated knives. "Blackout on the way," Blackout said.
On the desert road, a low-profile, heavy-artillery silhouette moved forward. It had a massive, centrally mounted particle beam cannon that dominated the top of the chassis, finished in a dark, metallic gunmetal. The body of the tank was composed of sharp, interlocking purple and silver armor plates that sweep forward into dual, claw-like treads, Spiky protrusions and exposed mechanical ribbing line the sides. "Shockwave on the way," Shockwave said.
Meanwhile Yuuki sat on the bed. She looked to see Marcel, Mira and Tsunoda all started to get dressed. She was flushed and smiled. She looked to see Scalper coming out from the bathroom. "Location found, Hoover Dam," he said as he was covered in blood.
"Then let's go," Yuuki said. "For the Goddess," Yuuki shouted.
"For the Goddess," Marcel, Mira and Tsunoda all shouted.
High above in the sky, Goddess Starscreen roared forward. "For the Goddess," he shouted. He then switched his communications. "Starscreen intercepting," Goddess Starscreen said.
From the high-way, Goddess Bludgeon, who was a low-profile, angular chassis in a muted sage green camouflage plowed down. It had striking orange-yellow accents on the lower structural plates. Its quad-track system, where four independent tread units extend outward from the main body, went forward. Centered on the hull is a wide, rotating turret equipped with a long-barreled main cannon, flanked by two rear-mounted secondary rocket pods "For the Goddess," Goddess Bludgeon shouted.
High in the atmosphere, the Megajet slices through the air, a dark and predatory SR-71 Blackbird variant. It had a long, slender fuselage and pointed nose. It had a sleek, needle-like silhouette. On the ground below, the Gigatank rolls forward. It had a massive, multi-tracked fortress of cerulean armor and heavy weaponry. It had a colossal primary cannon and reinforced plating. Its dual-engine power powered it forwarded. "Goddess Overlord coming fast," Goddess Overlord reported.
